Evening all

1stly thanks Ciao & MC for your kind words. However I have never said or believed my boat was better than a phantom. I just thought it was differently finished from any Phantom I had seen.

Having just seen JF's pics of his boat, I was wrong. Quality boat JF, never seen Phantom with such a good finish & pleasure layout.
Shame SB did not actively market such a boat, I would have been a buyer at the right price. If u don't mind me asking how much did she cost u excluding trailer. Will understand if u don't answer that 1. Just interested to compare with cost of mine.

Also saw the video....real nice footage, but not sure on Miami Vice type sound track!! Must be common to all fast boat drivers, your hair receeds quicker than normal!!

If thats your 1st boat & youre a novice, all I can say is that your probably crazy & earn too much money. However I am sure u are a seasoned powerboat veteran, not sure why u won't tell us about previous owned boats!

If your boat does 71mph as u say (which I believe) why don't u enter P1 super sport class next year & beat the Chaudron team with a Phantom. Your boat complies with the HP to weight regs & with your reliability & speed u would have probably won this yrs Cowes race. I was thinking of entering next yr as a wild card for a laugh. Even after I have repropped and lost some weight with stripping out pleasure fittings u would be slightly faster than me.
Free entry also!! How about it?

I'm real interested how much u paid for the power units u have. I wanted diesel inboards in mine, but cost was amazingly high.
Are yours counter rotation?

Happy boating all

My boat is a fast pleasure boat, not a race boat, complete with mains power, central heating etc. etc. To go racing, you have to be prepared to lose everything, and I'm not. Besides, i've done all the racing i need to do (except maybe a dabble next year in bens old seat).

Steve built me the bare boat/major structures, and I fitted it out, built the motors and rigged it, so pricing wouldn't really reflect what you'd expect as a 'turn-key' boat from a manufacturer, but FYI it owes me IRO 70k. and I definitely don't earn too much money, I just like my boating.

it all depends on who is building or overseeing the build of a boat as to how its going to become..........
I agree, jf's phantom is a really nice build, and is great at full chat! *(which IS 71! i can vouch for that!)
I have never seen in the flesh a choudron or been in one, so cannot comment on build quality or ride.......
I think one of the major things with leviathan is the A1 rigging, you can have the best boat in the world but if the riggings shite, well..........end of!

catchya!

Because I've replied in a civil manner doesn't mean my opinions on chaudron, raffshore, or any other splasher, or their products has changed one Iota!
