Lot of time spend not much do du to time consuming work .
As i couldn't find any excising solutions to go tru the transome with a wire/connector (shielded) i mounted some chrome hull fittings to make sure the connectors would fit , if all is in place i will use some sikaflex to make shure water cant enter the bilge when i travel in reverse .
Also put in all the smartcraft wiring and fitted all the wiring for lichting , gps , chardplotter etc. wiring is now done for about 75% .
Was hoping to fit the engine this saturday but i dont think i will make it because the wiring takes more time than i thought ......

boat rebuild
hi boats looking great you have done a good job, just wondered why you have 2 50 mm holes in the bottom of the transom , one of them being for a speedo pick up which are not very accurate, just seems odd seing holes like that beneath the water line

Thanks for the compliment !
Trough one of the hole's the wiring of the depth transponder and pitot enters the boat , there is a big plug on the end of the transducer and since i didn't want to cut it and didn't want any wiring along the transome this was the only solution .
On the other side there are two paddlewheels , one of the lowrange chartplotter and one of the smartcraft system , both also have a big plug so the same problem and solution .
Inside the boat the is a piece of hose wich ends above the waterline so there is 0% change of leaks into the boat .
I have been working with aluminium discs with rubber in between but didn't like the solution becouse it was not meant to use under water .
I agree its a bit overkill to use these big hull fittings but there was no other solution without taking the wiring along the transome or cutting the plugs of the wire's wich i both didn't want for sure !
Btw the hole's/fittings will be filled with sikaflex beneat the waterline to prevent water entering when backing up the boat

Do a few small things today but time consuming , fitted the ballast tank pump , fitted the bilgepump , put on a first layer of topcoat on the underside of the hull , made a suport bracket for the toplight wich i poliched , fitted some powerleds at the rear under the topdeck , put on a first end collor on the fuel tank after rinsing it , and last but not least took one of the tab cilinders appart to fix a oil leak at one of the seals .
Couldn't fit the engine because i have to wait for the trimactuator Dan is making for me , also waiting on some glands to fit the steering hoses , hope to get those befor the end of this week so i can fit the engine this weekend
Also got some sunglasses today to match the boat

Still got some problems with the tab cilinders ....
The other one was leaking a bit as well and had some wear on the seal in the back of the cilinder , got a compleat set of seals on order for the both of them wich wil arive on monday .
Also the new hose is still leaking , don't know who made the hoses but it seams to be something the local hydrolic shop hase never seen in his live so i hope someone in the uk can help me out on were to get a set of hoses for the tabs .
Also got some very nice glands in today by mail from John Archer , what a great guy is that
Last week i had some stainles steel plating made to cover the holes from the steeringwork Rob had on the 2 EFI's , i know its not the best way to solve it but it works for me

Finaly completly wet sanded the repaird spot on the botom after puting on 4layers of topcoat , after that polished it and put a few layers of wax on it .
Sanded to far on one spot but i will fix this this winter , first i want to take her out for a spin !
Also finished the fuel tank and fitter the fuel sender .
Put in some powerleds at the back and some blue leds under de topside of the deck wich shine down onto te floor .
Also put in a complete new set of seals in both of the tab cilinders , thank god it a standard cilinder so all seals were in stock at the dutch importer of seals , hope to get some new hoses in tomorow so i can fit and test the cilinders .
Tomorow the trailer is going for his mot so hopfully all goes well .

It's got an engine
Still waiting on the mechanical trim indicator Dan made for me but i couldn't wait so put it on with 3 bolts .
Also connected everything to install the vesselvieuw , what a nice bit of kit is that !
Filled the steering system as well .
Hope the trimindicator gets in tomorow so i can finish it on saturday .
Things to do , fit a fuel filter , fit the tank , fit and test the tab cilinders (new seals are installed) after recieving a new hose set from John and dialing in the indicators , fit the seats after all is finished and calibrate the fuel tank .

Looking good, as you are aware the delay was down to the money launderer who forgot all about it . Anyhow its been sent so on the way to you.
With regards to your pm I think Cye made the tabs, if you look through the original build thread I'm pretty sure he sorted them out but Burtys the man to ask.
cheers
Dan

Fitted some hardwood pannels underneat the deck to fit the pullup cleats .
Also changed the hose that was in the back , it was kancked and i dind't like the look of it .
Found some hose covers in the atic from when i was active in the carbuissnes , its stainles anodised webbing , i fitted it onto the breather hose and fuel hose .
Waiting on a new fuel filterhousing , mechanical trim indicator and some hoses for the tab cilinders , if those are in i can finaly finish the boat !
