So, potentially stupid noobie question. Apologies
I have watched P1, Honda and Class1 racing...regardless of the weather the drivers appear desperate to avoid running in eachother's wakes.
I assume there is something about aerated water being inefficient...but running in someone else's wake appears less choppy so surely there's an efficiency gain there?
I can see in Class1 that the "rooster tail" and the spray are a problem if you're directly behind...but less so in P1 and much less so in Honda racing.
I'm a "fast" cruiser, not a racer....but interested to know the logic behind it.
