Thanks cfun,
Nik is on board this project as well, he was the man behind original BOSS, we had to make sure the new boat would be as good as the original boats of the 90's.
We are looking forward to racing along side the Ring (not behind) and will be in the same class, as Jon has already posted. Sorry Cookee
Kevan has almost finished the plug and will start the mold soon, I will post some more photo's as soon as I have them.

Kevan and his team have been working round the clock this week, the plug only needs a light rub over and buffing before the mold is made.
Pictures show the final coat of paint on the plug
Any thoughts on a colour for the finished boat ?

Hi Zed,
Very nice build quality on that plug Black is a very unforgiving colour & there doesn't seem to be a ripple in sight wouldn't mind trying to squeeze a pair of Ilmors into one once my current project is finished
Regards

Thanks Peter, I have been watching your build thread with great interest and can't wait to see the finished boat.
The Boss has been designed to accommodate most engines, so fitting a pair of Ilmors will be no problem and an awesome boat, I would love to see that project happen.

The final layer of fibreglass has been applied to the mold, you can see from the first picture the colour of the running surface is a brighter red but as more layers are applied the show through has almost disappeared in the final one.
The steel framework to support the mold has been cut and welded and just needs fixing in place.
The mold can then be turned over and the plug and mold separated.
Thanks for the input on the choice of colour; we will go for plain white as we can wrap it and sign write it easier.

Looks fantastic!
Been down at Kevs a lot recently, watching very fast progress and a fantastic looking plug - even non boating mates were gobsmacked at the finish. Amazed to see the hydraulic jacks being fitted to lower the mezzanine floor down yesterday, easier than taking the roof off though eh kev?....
