Was the plan to run the Poole Cherbourg like they do at Coniston then, if so, that'd make for a very long day for the poor old organisers! 36 entries means the event would'nt be over till monday tea time!

Marina Fees I will speak to the Harbour master about a discount/free moorings.
Fuel prices today are unleaded 66p ltr exelium 69p ltr desiel 53p ltr also we have discount cards and the fuel suppliers said they will pass on the discount for the event.
Again if you were coming we would think to run the longer course.

Regards
Kevin
If we turn up with empty tanks

Then fill 1400 litres @ 66p = £924

On Hamble i guess about £1.05 = £1470

200 miles will use 630 litres = £415

Looks to me as though we get there and back for nowt

Free marina fees sounds great any chance of finding us a free hotel Kev.

Cheap weekend

Blimey you dont want much EH!

Will prob be able to sort some discounts but dificult if only notice is day before.

Entry fees will be based on ammount of confirmed entries but would like to keep £100 or below per boat, that would include 2 tickets to BBQ on balcony and insurance etc .

2. Not a chance - even if I'm on my own you know you're in trouble.

You guys gonna come across from jersey for the poker runs too? I'm not sure i'm going to run the cat in the races due to fresh baby/lack of funds/not wanting to risk a boat i've just spent the entire winter killing myself to build/lack of testing time/ i'm blatantly not going to beat the B28!
Anyhoo, getting to the point, it'd be good to get another chance to run with you lot at some other point!

And an R21...

I see Ed's boat is sitting at offshore power... Is he interested in racing?

Hoping to be on the water next weekend, or (more likely) the weekend after... just got to hide a few cables here and there and voila! Cest finished!

Hows the cat comming along? Will she be ready in time for the racing?

Err, no. Edd's definately not interested in racing, not his cup of tea at all! He's just getting his osmosis sorted and a new coat of antifoul.

If you're gonna race Andy, who's gonna nav for you? One major issue i've got is finding someone (that i trust) who wants to sit in the passenger seat of my cat while i scream the tits off it around a course!

She should be ready in time for the racing, she'd better be! Trouble is, as anyone on here with kids would agree, trying to arrange and fund racing a boat with a new born baby when you're on a tight budget already having just started a business ain't exactly easy!
Poker runs, I'll definately be there. Racing, it could all just be a bit too costly, but we'll see. Unlike some people getting into the sport i don't have a bottomless pot of money

Theres an R21 on a trailer with engine on the back just up the road from the reservoir, opposite the old school (mont varouf?)

I also have an R21 hull that is not in use, needs some work but if its going to someone local i don't want much for it at all, and I have a full set of interior which has just been recovered...

Is it possible to find out the owners through the harbour office? maybe get letters sent to them?
