is your 225 a 2.4L? if so it aint a 225 as apart from a bridgeport which was EFI the biggest they did in a 2.4 was a 200

Burty they did a "standard" carb 225 as well 2.4 with a 7 petal front end. Also 2.4 laser XRI

... yes they did, but 1980/81 only and that old nails 225 hp was measured at the crankshaft only
... have had a r21 twinrig named sophie with two of them tuned by felix van cauwenberghe in the late 80s, they were excellent revvers but thirsty like a horse

... 2.4 laser xri was the first step with fuel injection in a stock engine
... mod vp was 2.4 bridgeport with carbs, very powerful and reliable engine

indeed, i have one in my garage at the moment but as Chris said it was crank hp not prop hp and u lose like 25hp between the 2 so i believe its still only a 200, the xri was i believe rated at 220?? but its injected and the guys details says non injected.
