Piranha owner!
Hey,
I own a piranha Carrera since 4 Weeks. I life near Hannover, Germany.
I have to change my Computer, i Cant send Pictures from my i-Pad to show you my Boat.
First i can say, that the back of your Boat don't Look then my. It Looks like a inboardversion Build up for outboard. I Hope you understand my broken enlish
The Carrera is Build for Inboard 340 hp an outboard 300 hp!
My is with a evinrude V8 XP 300, both is Build in 1989, and in good conditions,
I don't Know what i Should expect bevor the First Ride!

My Boat!
Hey, this is my Boat. I don't bought it on e-bay. My pre Owner maybe?
I bought it from Berlin, He have this baot only from 04.2011 to 12.2011.
It don't Look like on the Pictures now
The old Guy from Berlin don't handle it with so much Care than i do.
Do you know still the Price at the e-bay offer? What do you think about the Ride and the topspeep?
The engine is painted in Black, also the back of the Boat. Some Other Parts of the hull are painted in white. Terrible!
But i do my Best to make it The Best Way, but First i have to drive and than i decideted what to do.

I dont now the handling yet i stil need to take it out for the first time i just got my boat a month now. But i had a miura before its almost the same model only 19Ft 5.70 this Carrera is 6.50-6.60 Almost 22ft
I thought te boat on ebay i thought it was about 4 years ago and i went away for 7000 or 9000 euro cant remember exactly.
Butt my boat seems for an inboard butt its not the boat is complete original also from the inside of the boat , When i saw the old piranha pictures of this boat from the factory that made a clear sense the big bracket with a engine behind it so they made 3 models
Inboard model
Outboard model well for outboard
Offshore model closed back
I have some picture from an inboard asswell.
I ask the owner for more pictures butt never recieved them. this one is for sale in belgium i dont now if it still for sale butt he asked around 7000 euro for it.

What i would do is for ur boat is sell the big heavy engine en get a optimaxx
250 hp i think it wil perform better then that heavy engine what also is an old one.

Ok, i still have a e-Tec 200, but is a Big One, Same than 225 and 250 with 3,3 liter, 237 kg, the V8 is near 265 kg. The e-Tec is on my Other Boat,a olympic580 CC, perform very well. Over 60 mp/h also with a 23 Raker.
I Want to Test the V8 an than, i am Shure how it Goes, maybe Change the Engine to the e-Tec. I think it is still enought Power.
I have also a Lot of Pictures from www.offshorepassion.com.
There is a Piranha still in Action.
Rotterdam is Not so far from Hannover.

The engine is old and wil consume more fuel then the new engine"s with today"s fuel price that high. A day fun on the water is very expensive with that engine i think.
I go with an efi or optimax engine about 200-300hp im stil looking for the right one butt got some time.

Right, but i am in a good Situation. I can also Ride an Other Boat wich will Consume less Fuel. I Want Power but it Must!!! Be very good to handle!
A good frind of Mine is a e-Tec Dealer, so i am happy with this e-tec.
But a last i decideted it after Test and Test and test
Most of the parts Form the V8 are at the painter, to get them Well.

the best engine for me was suzuki DT225hp(by Nigrowski) 121 km/h soit75.5 mph) 2009 and 2010
But now with GREEN legislation my boat is too short for the engine in 3l list.300xs or 250 xs can't go it's dangerous.
I think this year put 150xs optimax for the race.
it's the good boat and last year make lot of works on the boat and new paint.
When i try i can explain to you the new sensation and performence.
regards
Franck

Big respect ! That's some speed for an old design, bet it's layed up a fair bit lighter then the originals .
You can see the marvellous cornering abilities too an I bet she is a real dream to drive in the rough.
What prop with the Suzuki ?I presume two stroke ?

I wil check first the psi of that engine before u take it out u dont want to damage ur outboard. When u check all 8 and the psi is about the same then u got a healty engine for 90% if the psi is bad in wont start it butt just sell it directly with that information how about parts about this engine u can stil get them ?
