Thumbs up thanks for help

hi bruno,

Many thanks for your detailed response. I think I will after the test ride an easier search engine when I Ahbe decided whether I like the boat. if the v8 runs good, I can sell it with some good. in the test tank, everything went flawlessly. the 200 e-tec I have been retained by another boat. He is already there. I have to go first and I am excited like a bow. will test the ride very carefully make a lot of respect from the engine performance. is hard to wait. greetings from hannover. dirk and many thanks. you helped me.

Carrera

Bigboy,
The engine is a 2.5 carb from 1997, with special parts from Gforce technology USA (not on the market today), and the estimated power is a little bit under 220hp per the power curves I have, not too much, but the engine is very light around 170kg, so the balance of the boat is very good.
The top speed GPS is 117km/h and one time we have seen 122km/h gps very high in rpm. The speed are recorded using a GARMIN 76 Map, with a top speed recall device.

Still running fast for a 25 years old boat, fitted with a 2.5 merc carb with Gforce tuner/cylinders heads/boysen reeds/bobs nose cone.
A lot of fun to drive.
Those pics of that carrera are ******* nice

Piranha catamaran

Olli,
It looks like it's a Piranha Muria hull cutted in two parts then they added a tunnel on it. The lenght and side hull looklike a Muria model.
http://boatmad.com/forum/showthread....ighlight=MIURA
This model was not on the French Market, I've never seen one on Piranha advertising . May be it was a prototype. Does anyone knows where are the molds of the Piranha boats? the story told the building yard was completely distroyed by fire!!

Thanks for your input. I think you are right. It is very similar to a Miura hull but the one on the picture does not look like a prototype to me.
I too have not seen any advertising or brochures nor was it on display at DUS boat show but considering all the work that goes in such a
project I can’t imagine it was a one-off.
The german dealer of Piranha/FiberTec, Wassersportcenter Neuss, was also a Suzuki dealer and used special Piranha hulls to present the
engines to the journalists. The Cat was featured in the big three german magazines at the time but unfortunately they only wrote about
the engines, not the Cat. Will try to find more pics there…

Check the white boat. Quite a good amount of bowlift with the engine almost fully trimmed in.

Hi, I know that 95 km / h is far from the peak velocity. in the midland canal allowed to drive as fast as 12 non-or 15 km / h. It was only a functional test.whether the new water pump, the new rectifier and the new thermostats are working properly!

both owner spoke of about 85 mp / h let's see if it works and if I can? greetings. dirk
