£100.00 I suspect.

May gives a bit of time to sort the thing out ready for Cowes, good a target date as any. If it 2 weeks late apart from a hundred squigglies it's not a b*ll buster.

I'm gonna restore a concorde. I reckon I can have it ready a week next tuesday. I thought I'd do G-BBDG cos it's only round the corner. I've bought a couple of Cessna 152's to use for engines & other spares.

A very smart move, it was a shite to work on & OEM spares were way over priced. Bloody hours wasted doing the thin lip intake mod & the trailing edge Lycoming O-235 at best is only 140 hp

Sadly as the Brass Monkey has been cancelled, we have to announce the bet is off.

It would be unfair to keep it in force given that we would appear to have an additional 365 days or so until the actual race!!! However, testing will commence on Sunday if all goes to plan tomorrow

Maiden voyage

Well today was the day, after much work (and swearing), not to mention a feckin huge amount of shopping, we have managed to get the old girl in the water. The engines purred into life and after a quick check to make sure all the right liquids were staying in the pipes and non of the other liquid was getting in through the fittings, we ventured down the river for a test run.

Scott almost managed to wait until Ocean Village before temptation was too much to bear and we were off.

A quick blast down Soton Water and a respectable 65.5mph on borrowed props, we returned very happy it all worked beautifully. Just need to adjust a few bits and pieces and then its testing time for some proper speed!

Quick video of initial test outside Drivers.

The list of people who have helped us is short but distinguished, however a very big thank you must go to Dean from Drivers who went beyond the call of duty (once again) to help us get finished, cheers mate.

A few pics from today...
