700xs
Pash are you buying a 700xs?
If so I would suggest either a 300xs / 300x Merc or a 250HO Evinrude.
The 300xs if funds allow would be best choice as it has the most torque.
The boat shown will be running a 250HO Evinrude which is 3.4lt and runs 276hp standard or 296hp with a small mod.
Have you seen this one yet? pictures really do not show how big this thing is.

Your not wrong there, I was suprised how big this boat is when I saw the plug/mold under construction in the workshop.
Gav, you need to be in some of the next photo's to give an idea of scale.

No im not going to buy one, Im going to sue Gav for the money he owes me, and when he doesn't pay or promises to pay and doesnt pay (Again) Im going to Apply to the Courts to have his goods impounded and then take my Pick of the boats he has!!
Gav you should keep your promises, stick to your word, dont lie, and do what you say - Get you head out of the sand 56 days to go before I get my new boat!!!!
PS All this for £150 he owes me for Seats not delivered (a xmas pressie from the wife) promised for delivery before Christmas, How this chap is in Business I'll never Know, but he may not be in business for much longer!! - How foolish of the Gavster

You are causing this much public shame over £150.00, try losing enough to buy a house in Battersea on the stockmarket over 3 years .........................and yes I would wish that some crooked market maker would send me a cheque.
It might go better if you PM'd the guy to save everybodies embarrassment. It isnt very nice to was your dirty laundry in public!
I hope it works out in the end either way

Pash really mate all this over £150.
Try hanging in there like the other three of us who have had £3000-£4000 each invested in this project.
What do you really think you are going to sue him for?
What makes you think he is in business now?? he is employed.
Do you really think that myself Steve and Taz are going to let you walk away with our moulds or boats now that it has got this far?????....think again!
If you are really this hard up for £150 then i am sure we could have a whip around.
Being serious for a minute tho, Gav has been a pain in the asre but has done what he set out to do, he is now working for someone else and is starting to straigten things out.
I have been very fustrated with Gav a number of times but have also witnessed first hand how hard he works and how much this boat has cost him.
Lets not push the guy down any further for £150.
Pash you will get your money or the seats (your choice) but when Gav says he is skint it does not mean the same as it would to you or I, it means there is not enough money to rent a flat, not enough money to take his kids out every other weekend that he has them, often not enough money to buy food (have you seen him lately he is very thin!)
I would hope that Gav will sort this out for you by the end of next week.
regards
Cyco

Cy,
No I would'nt walk in and take your moulds - A Bailif Would... after he has been to his house and taken his telly, hi-fi etc etc the entire lot would then be sold at public auction
If the guy is in trouble then he should tell the truth, Ive got over 120 PM's that ive sent him and had 22 replies all saying the seats would be delivered before christmas, the cheque was being sent, the cheque was being sent by a friend etc etc. If he wanted Investors in his boat building buisness then he should have asked "The 3 F's" Friends, Family and Fu.king Idiots, seeing as I am neither Im not prepared to fund him. (I take it your a friend)
Qoute from Temporarily Insane "You are causing this much public shame over £150.00, try losing enough to buy a house in Battersea on the stockmarket over 3 years .........................and yes I would wish that some crooked market maker would send me a cheque.
It might go better if you PM'd the guy to save everybodies embarrassment. It isnt very nice to was your dirty laundry in public!
I hope it works out in the end either way"
Temp, I too lost money on the Stockmarket nearly £1 Million, Also lost my house in 1990, lost two houses to ex-wifes and pay more in child support that the average UK wage each year but those were gambles (At least the Stock and Shares were) This was Business - not personal - but Business. He owes me money and wont pay, must be able to pay because as Cy says "Hes got a Job" Im not a Bank, If he wants money go there, Im just a very Piss.d off person who rather resorting to "Sending the Boys round" would rather see him in court than Intensive Care - I wish him and His no harm I just want my money.
As far as washing in public - I totally agree, I told Gav last month if I didnt get my money in a week I would go public Did he Pay me? No did he say the cheques in the post? Yes! One can only come to the logical conclusion that he does not care if I go public - hence his non performance..
Either I shame him into paying, or in just under two months a Bailif visits. I have fully complied with the "Civil Procedures Rules" and given him 7 days notice of my intention to Litigate against him for the recovery of the money"
Buy the way the amount owed has gone up by £85 for the Court Fees which has been added to the debt!

Here we go
Heres my angle on this debate,
Gav has been here for a long time and classed many would agree as one of the boys,
Gav a while ago was being slated then many including myself defended him as he had made mistakes in the past and made some enenies.
To move on with the sensible approch Gav needs to learn from his mistakes, and if for some reason he is down on his luck would be best to tell the truth if parts are not finished then they are not finished.
I bought a model boat from him last year which to be honest took for ever and a day but because i was in no hurry i waited and his product is very good and i could not fault it.
I tell you this because like Pash i got every story in the book,
If the question was asked would i buy from him again, actually i would because I support guys like this trying to make a living doing what love doing.
On the other hand i would what his address before ordering from a third party in case he fu-- ed me about because unlike Pash i aint very good at the letters.
So Gav tell the truth and everyone will support you, if you dont you just may mess the wrong kind of people about.
Give Pash his money or give some seats.
Think i've been honest here, what do the rest of you think.
This way the banter can continue without any hard feelings, Pash shouldnt get stung for any money here.
Oh and Dan you've no chance coz Pash has Filled up Gavs PM Box with those 120 PMs.
