Matt depends on their idea of 'high performance install', these things are rated to something quite in excess of what Pash is going to be putting through them.

To be honest, you know as much about them as I do. I've read about them quite a bit on OSO, and talked to folk in the US about them, but have no personal experience at all. They seem to get good reviews by the Yanks, but thats all I can say.
Something you need to check. If the Konrad uses the Merc SSM III gimble assy, but uses their own helmet, make sure they make a helmet that fits the older style SSMIII gimble (which is what I think you have), as they changed at some point in the 80's. The trim up/down pivot tween yoke & helmet was revised. They (Konrad) may well make helmets to work with the early and late versions, but you need to know up front.

No, me neither.
I do recall looking at them at the Miami show, and comparing to the B-Max & Bravo. IIRC they basically look like big bravos, as opposed to the B-Max which just looked fugly.

You could also contact the lads (Kim & Co) who run the Konrad Velocity, they may have an opinion.

Apparently there has been 3 types of SSM111 Gimbals over the years and the Konrad helmet fits them all as it has 3 hinge pin placements to accommodate the changes

Just had a chat with Kenny Hokwiesner who's the General Manager at Velocity Boats - tried to speak to Steve Step but he was out, about the Konrad drives and he recons they are great, had some minor problems to start with but he's now got them fitted to loads of boats and has had no bad feedback

Don't be so sure Matt, the conversation I had with Pash earlier today was that he could continue rigging with the ssm111 to ensure no danger of losing the bet. He seemed terribly impressed by this thinking and phoned Konrad immediately.
I'm beginning to think he's going to get more pleasure out of taking your money than the actual launch.
