2.Competitors who have already taken two Event Licences in 2009 will have to obtain a full medical examination as per current RYA requirements for full licence applications before a further Event Licence can be issued.

Best advice for a cheap medical - use a Doctor at Gatwick or Heathrow they have pilots etc. coming through the doors all day - I was charged £30 last time.

The RYA will now allow a third event licence to be issued without a medical.

I'm sorry to say that they aren't critics of UKOBA, but critics of yourself. When are the rest of UKOBA going to realise that whilst your involved, it ain't going to happen?

You talk big, but constantly fail to come up with the goods.

Portland Marks

Have the co-ordinates for the racing marks at Portland been released for public consumption?

any chance of letting people know who is racing,im down as safety boat, and have invited some friends out of the day, first question they asked was whos racing,my answer "i dont know". frustrates the hell out of me,when were all treated like school boys. even if you havent got a full and final list at least we could see how the event is shaping up

We aren't trying to be difficult it's just that the racers ALWAYS leave it to the last minute to enter so although we have a pretty good idea who is and who isn't it would be silly to post when we aren't sure. It's a case of the organisers keeping their nerve which I am afraid some people don't but that is another story.

Entrants to date:
The Bandit - Cinzano - Relentless - Carbon Neutral - Team 25 Racing - Hot Lemon - Fugitive - My Pleasure - Swipewipes - Going Lean.

Plus we are waiting on two others, both E entries. Blastoff is a possible but not definite.

As it is a short race, only out to Portland Bill and back, there is no doubt that everyone will be putting the pedal to the metal from the start this time so it will interesting to see how Team 25 handle the pace of Cinzano for instance. The Bandit should be going quicker this time too.

Hope that helps.
ML.
