True Kitten prefer bricks and mortar not so great for building a boat in thou...must admit I assumed wrongly 1 large diesel was going to be fitted as per original Warlord with 1 engine, although 2 would obviously be better suited to the RB task, also maybe I miss understood the rules for RB4 I thought the max capacity is 6.5ltr diesel or 3.25 each which would leave the possibility of having under 300hp per engine and boat speeds in the 60's mph region

Very observant.

Twin 3.2's it is then.
We'll just have to see on the speed front, we don't expect much over 60. Remember though, this is the 'long game', not the short.

Maybe we have it all wrong, it certainly wouldn't be the first time, and I'm definite it won't be the last.

Doubt very much we'll be at the Cancer race.

I know it may be a long shot but I am still hoping, and it would be great, if your new 32' tested out at the cancer research with other RB entries so we can all see her... and after all it is a good cause

Yes, if many RB entrants do enter it will be excellent for the race spectators, and a good chance for all to have a chat and shake the equipment down before the RB and I guess you would be right it may not be the fastest race especially if teams have loaded the boats to mimic the weight they will carry or indeed do decide to go round with a heavy fuel payload, but I still say better to have breakages around the cans than in the first stage of the RB and I do believe if you think you have a chance of breaking the boat over such a small distance then teams have 0 hope around the UK...so come on sign up today so we RB fans can all see them in action

There's quite a few alloy bits, and it's an unusual design, in that it doesn't have a separate cylinder head. Instead, it is a 'monoblock', which is cast steel, then the crankcase/sump and overhead valve gear & cam housing are alloy 'bolt-ons'. pretty lightweight & compact for a weisel.

Nice engines.

I remember reading something about the front engine mount brackets on these engines had a tendency to break in rough weather some years ago. On the early engines these were cast aluminium and the fix was to fabricate some new ones in steel. They might have sorted it by now though?
