Me? I just post.

I raced on and off for twenty something years.

I am no professional.

Steve Curtis, Peter Little and Neil Holmes are the real professional racers from the UK.

P.S. Spell Checkers are free, punctuation and grammar should have be learned at school!

Yes they do. Regularly. Specifically through email barrages that you got me involved in last year. Fired off by Shelly Jory I believe.

Running over 7mph....
The 225 cant get over 68 at the moment, this is proved each year at coniston, where the boat is setup and balanced just to do a fast km run, so I doubt you get anything like 65 in race trim.
Hi VT,

regularly running faster than 65. We didn't run the lake. But checking out the timekeeper's averages for Liverpool day 2. I did say the Mersey was running ;-)
But, it was pretty bumpy in places. But seriously, the latest 225s are running fast despite lack of experience. Be interesting to put the experienced drivers in the latest boats and 4 more are being built for this year's racing I believe.

What about you. WAS . Do you class your self as a proffesional or a starter in powerboat racing.

Nick Barsch is living rather a nice life in Cornwall. I havent spoken to him for a year or so.
I had a great time setting my boat up with him a few years back. From what I understand, Nick has been involved in the what was then the Negotiator/King of Shaves Class 1 team, travelling to the various events around the world. (Lucky bugger). And yes he was one of the best guys to race against in OCR as can be proved by his many championship wins. A lovely chap to know in my opinion

Daze, were you the chap that I spoke to in Salcombe Yacht club when OCR was racing in the harbour? I think you were talking to my brother Colin.

Semi pro to nearly pro...........anyway doesn t anyone here know how to spell professional?

Re: Series sponsorship , Honda plans to extend the series to cats in the near future. Some of you may have seen the development mule (a way to go yet) but this carries the same support. Relatively easy to get full sponsorship as the Series is almost primetime on tv.
Well its there on a plate so....... does anyone want to slag that one off? (Old design, unsafe, not quick enough at 85mph or too fast for safety to catch up, won t fit in to powerboat racing because its a Honda)
Our team will be racing one (new boat so I guess we'll be novice drivers not fit to race , unsafe etc. etc.) Actually..... its stable!

No.... saw the test dvd and have seen it at the workshop. It runs the 225 and as I remember is/has the cockpit. Looked great footage on the water, like a mini 6ltr.
Will find out if anything can be posted.

I'm sure you're aware that working out speeds from a timekeepers calculations has an accuracy of F*** all - it depends entirely on who put the bouys out and their relation to where they should be!

Besides the point Tricky was really making was about the issues he had concerning the discipline (drivers and officials) in the class - a point that seems to be echoed by Sara?
