Mikko, don't be so serious, I was only winding you up.

No one else went further in June 08 than you, I was being sarcastic.

No spares left and 6 min from third place so I filled up with new oil and burried the throttles. We had some six min up to third place...

There was not much left of the lower gears when I opened the drive back home... But we got third!!!!

I know, Jon. I read and understand what you say-also the sarcastic things.
I´m not so serious as it may look. The problem is to express your self in a foreign language. Sometimes you loose the message in the words.

Hi All

RB11 attended and presented to the ORC meeting today & as Ciao has said the race was approved and the dates locked in to 2011 calender

This is great news & I would like to say thanks to ML & JM for sharing their knowledge & ORDA for supporting the race..... ta

Anyway.... having now completed this milestone it is time to move the race forward...

Over the next 2 days we will contact each racer with an application form & the latest race info such as venues & dates

This is such good news not only because there will be – I think – 50 race teams taking part, hopefully including myself, but the ripple effects down through the marine industry can only do good. New boats, new engines, new fitting out costs, rebuilt boats, rebuilt engines and so on it all helps the industry during this recession and of course those marinas which will be visited by the race will also benefit so Dean, Mandy and their RB11 team have to be congratulated on taking on this huge challenge.

The leg from Milford Haven to Oban (300 odd miles) is going to be a challenge having to do it in one day but, hey, what an adventure

The following is part of a post made by John Fuller back in September 2006 and I apologise in advance to John for “messing” with his original post but I thought that it applied then and it applies now.

This will hopefully be an outstanding event, and go down in history in the way the last three did. It's not often people stick their necks out and take on a mammoth organising job like this, so we need to really get behind this, and help it to be THE event of the 'noughties'.

Can't wait!!

JF
