They certainly push at the start if the tracker is telling the truth.
The tracker hasn't uploaded since yesterday by the looks of it

Race is going will and Cinzano is working very well indeed.

Hi guys, now on our lay day I have some time to give an update on our team progress. on the first leg we were doing really well in the rough on the start on the flatter water opened her up to get ahead before we got Into the larger seas, maintaining around 75-80. When in the rough we seemed to be averaging around 40ish, however there was a very large Atlantic swell in a following sea, the then built up to a size were you couldn't get to a speed to skip across them or get the steps working.
We were powering up waves and surfing down them, after about an hour in the rough we surfed down waves to be met by a massive green wall of water. Being a very flat profile boat we just went straight in and fill the boat full completely to the top of the cockpit. I was able to keep the engines running but the water had smashed through the bulkhead and the forward disk in the mould. The water was luckily drained after about 20mins, but we had lost the VHF, gps, engine gauges the lot, including my blackberry all to the water damage.
My charts had been ripped off and were floating in the boat, i managed to plot our course using these however and get through our gates. We managed to power up again and making a good headway, sadly stopping every 20 miles for a few moments just to check the chart on our position. Then about 30 miles from the finish our fuel pumps shorted due to water damage and couldn't get fuel, we spent the next few hours rigging fuel hose from the remaining midle tank directly to the port engine(starboard engine cowl was in bit so I didn't run it)
We then got in and was welcomed with open arms and a local can do attitude, the hospitality was amazing, within a few hours we had been lifted out, a fisherman lent us his unit, so we were inside In the dry, the hotel provided us with hot food and beers and in one night we carries out the following: new plotter fitted and VHF, tube repairs, engines rebuilt and checked, gearbox oil changed, new bulkhead made, cowling repaired and strengthened, new front section disc covering the gun turret hole. All gauges re wired, seats repaired and new fuel pumps fitted, we finished at 8am went straight in the water and was ready for a quick fuel up and to the start line, we could not have done this if it wasn't for the hard work of the locals staying up with us all night helping and supplying bits that we needed. So if any on here-thank you!
The start was good and we ran slightly ahead of cinzano, only to be overtaken as our trip tabs started shorting and were stuck in the full down trim position. Luckily this was the right position as we rounded the hradland and went straight into a head sea, the kind of conditions the buzz loves and I clamped everything down, filled the ballast tank and burnt the rear fuel tank, we opened up a great lead, I wanted to head up to the islands then cut through them for protection and a fast run, althgouh about a mile from the islands we through are alternator belt on the port engine and our starboard engine was missing. So we pulled in only to wait a while while the engines were being prepared, we decided because of the weather closing in and a large job list that we use it as a testing day and retire, getting the boat sorted for the following days, therefore towed to the next leg, our final break yesterday was an earth wire and coil pack problem on the starboard engine, so the race has been very frustrating but we are fighting hard and today we are working hard to spend a whole day on the boat. Hopefully we have sorted all problems byb the end of the day and have a good race tomorrow. Finally!
