I think its best that we wait for tomorrow "Protest Committee" meeting - I will then post up the outcome - I am a little too close to be posting that kind of info here - hope you understand.

That seems a sensible John.
I do also hope the protest comitee use some common sense when deciding whether Nick & Jon (or indeed any other crew) are to recieve a penalty if its to based upon the data collected from (whats so-far proved to be) a totally unreliable system. It would be such a shame to see a class decided by a few minutes if the 2nd placed boat had recieved a dubious penalty.
lets see what tomorrow brings

FWIW penalties seem to be the way forward. In Football nearly all high level matches are settled that way

2) You appear to be right on 1 mile off the point... but I guess MarineTrack's Multimap based system uses statute miles?
3) Your track looks dead straight to me... so some degree of interpolation must have been used (or Nick's got a very steady hand on the wheel!)
4) Can the actual plotted points be produced as evidence? The calculated track between these mean absolutely nothing and can easily be argued as inadmissible evidence IMHO. If an actual recorded plot puts you in the "exclusion zone" then sorry mate it's tough poo. If not, I'd fight like a rottweiler!
Best of luck.
(PS. The spell checker doesn't like Rottweiler and wants to use "Throttler"!!)

Absolutely.
Not sure if any of the exisiting posted times include a penalty, so please could you give us the recorded time and penalty time for each team affected?
Ta!

Kick off today is in twenty three and a half hours... otherwise known as 10am (for RB1 class at least, there are 3 starts) tomorrow!

I'm prepared to be proven wrong, but I'd imagine they are setting off on the longest leg of the event at the same time as RB1.

Great shame Fabio has retired the winged monster, was really hoping he may get it fixed up again after the damage, it would of been great to see the battle commence down the east coast with the other strong contenders, it may possibly of been the only chance of seeing this famous boat being driven hard against the likes of Evolution and Supersport P1 boats as well as the many other classes involved
