Hi James,
The polarity change over switches are maufactured by a british company called Albright they are rated at 150 amps and are spark free and water resistant.The reason i have used heavy duty switches and wiring is that i am going to experiment with a gyro to control the tabs with a manual override for the base settings.

Your Merc pumps don't work like peters. his require a polarity change for opposite rotation, Merc ones have separate fwd & rev windings (and a common gnd). Hence the two separate solenoids.

Battery Leads

Hi All,
Spent the last couple of days making the power supply leads for the trim & tab pumps also mounted the battery isolator switches & made all the battery leads.
I am a little bit stuck now until i get the next edition of how to rig a powerboat by "Dare Devil Publications"

Albright manufacture a three terminal version specifically for twin wound motors which tidy's up the wiring no end and they are much more reliable than relays, they are making me some samples up as they are not a stock item.

Delighted to be involved in your project and greatly enjoy our very constructive discussions over the past few months.
Peter hasn't got to to this bit yet in his posts, however he intends using a fly-by-wire steering system combined with his excellence in hydraulics. Lots of other good things discussed in much detail too.
Expect some very good things for both raceboats and the mainstream commercial markets to come out of this, dear forumfolk.

Yep, saw these at Peter's weekend residence; pure art, and nothing but. Lightweight art though, but then not all the world is essentially bronzed or brazen

Peter, If you can give me detail design drawings for that red machined bit, I will will look into whether we can replace this with a very simple and infinitely reliable non-contact torque sensor, I'm well through developing. Would be good 'cos this would help getting venture funding to put these into production.

Thanks for the phonecall Peter, was not aware you had already raised the fly-by-wire steering concepts here on the forum, so respectfull apologies
Next season we will be able to demo this stuff with vid here, hopefully this will make at least partial atonement...

Also agree that the torque measurement has more direct relevance to large commercial craft than finely tuned racecraft, which additionally need 3000% proven reliability. Methinks it should be done though, even just for a short test on the new blackan'tan' fireweapon, if we can get the development funding. Just need to convice someone who has the gold to invest, in return for good things later in the biggerboat commercial world.

D rigging

Hi All,
I have spent the last few days removing the engine bay rigging all of the hoses have been carefully marked with their respective positions, hose ends have been swaged, pressure tested & cleaned and along with all the rest of the rigging parts are now stored away ready for the final assembly.The engines will be coming out on tuesday which will allow me to do some of the more intricate finishing work prior to flow coating, also purchased some very nice carbon fibre nasa ducts which will also soon be installed.

'National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics'.

We're thinking of fitting them to the P25's rear hatch.
Where'd ya get'em from?
