Painting is pretty much down now few more coats to go on. I got the shotgun ready for that bloody bird if it comes over again & trys to do what he did earlier. Screwed it up a bit but will just have to live with it for a while.

Got all the safety equip in & secure, I'll be popping in a few bouyancy bags over the next two weeks, & it will need a detail clean up as it a bit grubby really. Looking good for next weekend

mmmh looks none to good I think every fly, midge & bug has landed on it this evening to soft to cover so I just hope it dont rain over night. Decal guy has had a real hissy and walked out so I've spent this evening chasing some numbers, the rest of the decals & logos have gone out of the window.

There isn't to many changes to the eye, weight distribution , running height, twin supply on the fuel feed. Havent got round to the 2nd water pressure for the rear or the fuel pressure they were nice to have maybe in the week I need to refit all that came out the rh sponson before I get to those and the paint will need a serious cut back. Were testing Saturday regardless Martin want to be first on the lift as there at least 2 new props to run & 2 that have been reworked. I just hope I havent done to much at once.

Well the day started well, at least I left the house on time. Got launched Fired up first press, turn off went & got a jacket came back. Would it heck no it was a flooded fekker in more ways than one. First the engine then I noticed an increasing water level within the rear. ..............MMMMh why is there still a bung in my pocket? ................After a quick sort out got going point of the day was to try a new prop that I haven’t run before & check out some of the reworked ones. Was more interested in the acceleration. Today’s iron was just a little too tall. They gave a 90 & 93 but lacked the pickup really to be serious contenders. Got all the kit on to try it out to make sure it all worked & fitted. Which it all did apart from the web cam. Batteries went flat & the helmet mount is just too wobbly so I’ll try to come up with another mounting for next weekend. Just uploading a You Tube clip now which I’ll post when it’s finished with its processing.

Nice video,

Still like that boat!

Your music collection, lets just say strange!!

On the run back, was that the 93mph run?

Was it me but watched it a few times, its running very flat was it running with water up front or does it run naturally flat?

Looks as if more air was under the front could get that little extra i know you want 100mph.

Good luck with the testing, and meet up with you and Pashman in a few weeks again,

It was the first run with the 5 blade, it's looking flat as it was an accel testing day and was going from 45 mph thru to 90 and the back. Wasnt a balls out tester put a playgroup playday that said around 7:03 in the trim was a tad to far out really. 3 is a neutral and it think it was up around 5 - ish, The boat does run nice a flat not like the old stapleys

Oh hum to do list is getting longer not shorter, managed to buff through the top coat in the half light so going to have to repaint a few small areas I just completed, not to pissed as there are a few other spots that suffered from seagull poop & weathering from last year that I'll do at the same time. So after this weekend I'm tucking it up for a while to prep it & wait for a decent day to put into colour, more than likely drop the engine back down as previous.
Managed to finally settle on a style of graphic, pretty much what you see below but a slightly different tint on the green. The bow image will be based on WWII bomber art sort of changing it tri-monthly ish, just to give it a different feel, one below is “Sally Jupiter” as an example. Will displaying “Miss Coconut” from this weekend, I might just have a few more up the sleeve as time passes. Going to finally get round to replacing the seats so will be looking about soon- size will be critical.

Anyway thoughts & feedback I liked it (lots)

Just update good fun run out with the Midas at Allhallows last weekend, loads of pics and vid in thread http://boatmad.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13288.

I'm back on paint work in a week or two, & shifting a bit more weight about with another 3 props to try after. Then the Decals can go on
