Side pods fitted tonight all 150 of the nut plates bar 1 lined up nicley and worked a treat will pull them off the weekend. Off monday for 2 weeks to hit it hard, Deck back on stbd side, primed, & base coated, rubbing, rubbing more rubbing then as long as it's not wet or to windy final topcoat for the topsides & sponsons. Tunnel I'll have to feather in when it's having the trailer done. No pics as the camera is flat.
Having thoughts on the homebrew trim & lift indicators but might buy in depending on the schedule. Big work poject is going to pole axe any work after the 2 week window for a while. Estimate for launch as of today, guess mid June

Rub Rub Rub & Rub, Topside is pretty much there and just a few little locals before the top coats. Think that base coat tis a bit shinny on the cockpit if only I'm so luck with the finish one

Made a start flatting the bottoms. Being wood there are a few little dinks, & wobbles, belt sander to get rid of the highs then epoxy over the top another belt & finish sand back to flat & smooth

I know everybody said this was the lighest & best made. But I was surprised that I actually picked it up on me tod, tried just to get the feel but was shocked when it came off the trailer, see if I can do it with the motor on !!!!!............................................. .....................NOT

Top wating a final thin dust coat
Bottoms will need 2 more, had a bit of a pickle in some places on the rails so will need to strip them back & redo the things with a local. Think I'll do most of the tunnel before the lift off the trailer & jst need to blow in the corners after. Prep & painting has gone on way to long but fre time is a killer.
Rigging bits will be a real joy after this ball busting time. Most has all been pre drilled & then removed for painting so should be a simple bolt up after.
Will bring the rear seat forward a bit as it's to hard up on the rear cocpit area just by an inch or so. I'll have to grind off the current mounting blocks as there isn't enough movement in the existing & will need to span a frame with the mounts.
Getting there slowly & it will be out this year

Half tempted to take it up to me roots around Labroke Grove & get the"Street Artists" to be a bit creative on the base white but I dont think it would be there when I got back !!!!

Fink it will be Decals, Did call em stickers but the guy at work who makes em got all touchy "There Decals not stickers ya fuc*wit" in a heavy scottish accent

Home straight, bottoms all done, just the centre tunnel section when it’s off the trailer. One quick nib over the lot and thin blow over that’s it, if it runs it stays. Will just have to live with it till the next time.
Spent an hour after dark on the trailer board. If you haven’t guessed yet Im totally obsessed with weight that includes the trailer !!!!.
Started to cut some aluminium sheet up instead of the galvanised steel but thought, what the f**k am I doing . Keep it real. so will just prime & paint with new lights, a rewire & a big F*^k off Boatmad sticker.

Not going to haul the trailer up now going to do it all by ruler and those milli things.
So when its off and sitting on the trestles I will be able to get some pics from the side. not seen it in a year side on standing back !!!! forgotten what it looks like.
For what its worth including paint, Epoxy, Odds & bobs to date its 49 lbs heaver than when the project started most of that is in the difference between the steering & the extra weight of the gorilla, as well as some re-enforcment. Saved some on more modern lightweight materials but a bit of the old stuff came out to make that number look good. Final number..... Dunno I put a weight gauage on it when it's finished.
