You should have used an adjustable spanner with measurement marks on it, that would have been much more accurate!!!

Dunno would really like it out for Pier to Pier as I really dont want to do it in the R*b but I'll stick by my word and do it regardless. How about Monkey 2007
Several factors affecting it.
1. Time at work
2 Boat Widow my react
3. Other jobs to do
Will hopefully get it off the trailer and get that away over the next two weeks & can the finish the underside & those hard to get to places.

Hi, if you recall it was me cfun who advertised the boat for mark, he has just been in to check out how you are doing as he could not remember what the boat site was called, he was amazed and very impressed with all the work you have done, he said he had hoped to be on a safty boat for the round I.O.W race but it looks like work may have scupered his plans, but he said he would like to see you and the boat out one day

Why does it always take longer than expected, think of a time scale the treble it. Started making the loom(s) this week quite like all this new thinwall stuff much better than all that old waxed cotton & linen (Grin). hopefully that will fit next week. New lifter should be here now with me odd trick bits that I wanted with it so that will follow the wires. Finally got me mitts on some PRC1440 for the mounting of the transom plate & lifter. Plate I will need to maching for the odd fittings I'm using but thats easly done in an hour. Currently wasting the day machining about 150 new anchor plates for the side pods. drilling & tapping is a right old pain in the bum.
I was tempted to just quickly run it as was then pull apart this winter but it increased to workload, really only wanna do this once so went for the full one this time round that & the fact I wanted to make sure as it's gonna be 280 ponies.

I still have Marks number & he aint getting out of blast that easily

Got the fuel lines in on the LP side, working through a 105mm hole that was a job and a half but I have now completed that bit & got my trainee gynaecologist badge. Got ahead with the loom & have most of it in for hook up. Will need to order up some batt cables & bits as I haven’t got those yet, got on well this week and caught out a little, Lifter and odds here will pick it up later today & I can set about plugging what I don’t need & re-drilling for fix next week. Motor………..MMMH still not a done deal so may resource to see what about just in case. Gotta be a 280 offshore 20” nothing older than a 04. Consumer but ROS would be just as good PM as to what you have is welcome but I wont be needing for at least a month. Will have some colour on it in about 2 weeks I can the clear away the cocoon and get it lifted off the trailer and ship that off for the required repairs. That should be about a week before it comes back. Dead in the water on the steering as the post office seem to have lost the Boss & Wheel I assume will see I reckon its a balls up on the suppliers part . We will see????

Well got the gantry here for the lift off now all I need is a crane to assemble it pheww got knackered just putting the legs on. Lifter here but really surprised that the old L & S one didn't use a standard bolt pattern so need to plug all the holes get a new transom plate made & re-drill the lot . That was unexpected.
Does anybody have a large outboard template/jig I can borrow for a day or two
