Stick with it

Its a walk in the park now, you're almost there, have a couple of beers and take a few days off. Trust me it will be worth it in the end . I too had a few problems during my little project . But when the boat hits the water for the first time you wont remember any of them, just the smiles of satisfaction.

Calmed down a bit now, climbed over to next doors garden and got the ram back, but a replacement system is on its way rest of the finishing off bits should be here next week.
Gonna try the Nordskog GPS Speedo looks a nice little unit and has all the functions I wanted built into one, GPS Speedo, MPH & KTS - Compass, RPM & Voltmeter that will cut out a lot of instruments up front which I hate - essentials only and come in well below other units.
Pain in the bum is sourcing a fitting for the back of the water pressure indicator - non standard oversize barb to take around a 3mm hose from the block, dont think I'll find one so will have to weld something up to fit.
Not going to work on it for a bit as I'm still a litttle ragged and to quote pulp fiction "Race Car in the red" seems to fit quite well. maybe around the middle of next week blood pressure dependant

Got a couple of hours in today first day since the"Hissy Fit"
New IMCO steering system installed and is much better suited to the 2.5 mostly is down to the extra travel of the ram so a real easy lock to lock now the Latham only had 7.5 & didn't quite give full rh down, Indicator actuator fitted to the lifter & trim, still need to drill & tap the leg for the last bit. Biggest job of the day was to enlarge the holes for the trim tru hulls, job done just but I've killed my long serving Hilti, Deck was easy but the stainless plates in situ was a pig as they were a pair of large holes but done now, trim connect tomorrow & bleed along with the steering finish bleed bit short on fluid for today. will run in the acuator cables but not quite decided on the indicator location yet, tending to favor an offset to the right maybe on the side pod, need to sit in it really with the seat in.

It's good to hear that you're back on course with Project Midas.
Be good to see it on the water.
Reminds me, must get round to sorting Woody's engine out for him.
G.

17:00 Powered up all but for starting the motor, need to DDT the thing a bit first. Trim ,Lifter all functioning. Few little curve balls but got round it, still leaves me somthing to do for next winter. Blood pressure intact & didn't break anything. 2 weeks should see all the bits done then some trailer tidying
Feeling far more upbeat now I can see the end in sight
