1 May, Still singing the "poor old jackplate blues" back to the machine shop for more work this week, dont think I have known anything so time consuming. All the hefty chuny shite is done bar the motor bolt replacement. Picking up on the old 10/32 slide bearing retainers was a shite. Bollix to it they are comming all out again re weld & machine back , AGAIN 2nd time. got to get this finished as it's delaying the master plan, well the sort of plan.
Got all the aeroquip stuff in now. just some end fittings to pick up in the next few weeks.
Will have to remove the LH rear sponson deck as the Bilge pump is shot on that side, might just cut a hatch though, will match the stb side then. I rekkon about 3 days work before starting rigging the inside but it may take me a month to get those 3 days in.

Finally caught up with Lorne & popped the question. He said he thought it was 2000lbs fully rigged in race trim inclusive of crew & 50% fuel which is 150 lts approx.
So bare boat I'd guess would be just over a 1000lbs (460kgs) - engine -390lbs, crew -360lbs & fuel 210 lbs

460 kgs bare hull, thats real light for a 27 footer. With a 2.5 she's gonna rock.

Cheers

Dunno how accurate that is, was a long while ago. Good to check when it's done though.
It was the lightest of the trio that were built. Got told one ran over the 100 with a 2.5 up at Windermere, how accurate that is I'm not sure. Still see what it comes out at when it gets wet.

Anybody have any numbers from Windermere they could chip in?

Well I have throw in the Jack Plate, having finished the machining Nice new bolts , sliders, pump was fine but thought I'd just run through the motor to ensure a groovy trouble free season. Bo****ks motor bushes shot. brushes shot, There is only so much time to waste . shame all the hard stuff came up well & was going to look good.
anybody needing L & S spares I have a shite load still in the packaging, studs , Nuts, Bolts, Sliders, ect, ect.

Got on a little bit but some pretty major distractions have put paid to any work for the next week or two.

Gonna use the "Wally" foot throttle as I cant be assed to re bond new mounts to the floor. Polished it up & it actually was too "Bling" so added a tasteful bit of paint.

Waiting on the replacement lifter which will be a couple of weeks, will have a slightly different top bolt pattern so some holes to plug and some to drill
