Given the context of your earlier statement "It's surprising what you find when you Read and ask Wye", one would reasonably infer that Wye is a who rather than a what.
Unfortunately, your cryptic clues have become tiresome to the point where I no longer give a shit so it's "up your nose with a rubber hose". If you're not familiar with that sentiment might I respectfully suggest you do some research.

I totally agree Ben, I would rather someone was a total pratt on another thread than on this one.
With regard to Powerboat Racing, which is far more interesting, has anyone posted this video before? They look serious competition.
http://www.goldfishboat.com:80/ .........and hit the "36" button.
WE hope to get footage similar to this of everyone in the race and will be trying to get the raw footage up on the RB08 web site every evening. Well, that's the intention!

Wye - Two Scoops
Wye; as in Hay On Wye, as in Arts/ Literary Festival, one of the celebs was Jeremy Clarkson, or so it says if you look on their website. May have been others but didn't look too hard! Some of you may think that I would know who's in the boat- but haven't got a clue so only guessing. Didn't actually think that he would have done it anyway- just personal thoughts !

That will be great for those of us who are unfortunate to be living on lush tropical islands in far off exotic places and not able to see any of the daily UK TV coverage.
Will there be any info posted (almost) as it happens during the day, i.e. race positions, info, results and times?
It would be good if the TV footage appears on YouTube every day, unless someone knows of a way I can watch the TV coverage over the internet?

My plan is to have "latest news", results, and pics on the RB 08 website asap every day. You will be able to track the boats using Marine Track's technology - I will have that on the site too.
I will also endeavor to post here.
The video of the daily races will also be hosted on the RB08 site in unedited form - OLDMAN will make that announcement soon.

Guernsey has a competitor racing !
Hayden Morgan from St. Sampsons will be crewing in Gee for a couple of legs. He was was my navigator back in the late '80's before he won the lottery and became a tax exile! (Roy has had a beer or two with him!)

Media
On the subject of multimedia, I have plenty of space & bandwidth available on my server to host multimedia files from the event.
It is slightly better than peering at poor quality youtube files.

Newby here
Hi. Have just found this site thanks to my children of St Augustines School in Reading, we are currently doing a project on Powerboats and on seeing that one is being launched on Wednesday was wondering if it's possible to visit the site where it's taking place. Our main reason for this is to gain as much information for the children.
Who would I contact to see if this is possible?

Perhaps best to take the children to Basildon Powerboat Museum http://www.motorboatmuseum.org.uk where they run dedicated courses for school children.
