Yes we have already been there with the children, but thank you for the suggestion anyway.

Bandit all being well are you still intending to try out at CR on Sunday and if so perhaps you will have a fellow Hunton their if they also intend trying out where better than under pressure against other teams

Our main reason for this is to gain as much information for the children.

Who would I contact to see if this is possible?
These people are doing the PR - maybe they can help?

For the children

I would just like to say a bit thank you to everyone who has tried to help in arranging a visit to the live launch on Wednesday.

It is not possible for this to take place now and we have other ideas in motion.

The children are satisfied that it can't go ahead and what we have planned will now be going ahead.

Thank you once again.

Nice of you to say so Tim. Not many thanks come our way so that is much appreciated. Annie did a stunning job and so did Richard Salaman, mine was minute in comparison, just the outer cover, many thanks also to our friendly printer who put it all together from Annie's originals! It will be something to keep in the future that's for sure.

Two weeks to go, nah, you must be wrong, still too much to do.

RB08 Souvenir Programme.

We have just gone to press with the RB08 Souvenir Brochure which will be available for sale at all Venues especially Portsmouth and on our web site from the 17th June.

This has been put together for us by David Sewell of World of Powerboats with articles from Dag Pike, Ray Bulmen, Tim Powell and me (worth buying just for that alone).

The A4 size full colour brochure has write ups on all the crews and boats, in a similar fashion to the current MB&Y article and is, frankly, fantastic. The cost of this 40 page special edition brochure (only 1500 will be printed) will be £5.00 + postage which will £2.20. 30% of all profit raised will go to our charity, the RNLI.

Hi Mike

I have just read email concerning Trophy Dinner and have replied with our thoughts. Myself and Eric think it is very unfair that after 10 days of following Eric round that our kids will not be able to see him get an award (if this actually happens).

Unhappy parents

Good article Cookie, I had to buy the mag this month due to the fact that it was in a plastic bag, no standing in WH Smith and reading the good bits!

I wasn't too happy to hear that news either.

After having lunch with my parents yesterday my mum told me of plenty occasions where my sister and I were not allowed into prize givings due to age.

Perhaps the racers with children can get together and run a creche for the kids?

See you on Wednesday at the launch?

I'll have one of those brochures as well if they are ready - especially as they are being done for charity.

Probably not - The "rebooted" Ray Bulman and the ever capable Mike Lloyd will be running the show.

Should be good - radio and tv turning up!

I want correct Ciao, I have only ever won £57 on the lottery. But I don't mind buying the beers. Plus I live in St Peter Port. Ciao wouldn't remember that as every time he comes to Guernsey he ends up sleeping on my(old) boat in St Sampsons. But looking forward to Newcastle to Lowestoft Leg!

Me too! Will be amazing to see you get a life jacket to fit!

When we (I) turned over that 3c cat in the late 80's the majority of the damage was down to you - Kevlar seat broken- elbow through deck etc.

Good to see your bottle is back!

I've successfully broken my boat, but my sister and her husband were going out and mooring near Portsmouth on 21st so I was all set to be on the flybride of their Princess camera ready. She phoned me last night one engine is overheating and will not be fixed until first week in July. So I am now a land based spectator with no idea where the best place is to see and hear the start of the race - any good ideas please.
