To all that have seen & passed so many positive comments a big thank you. Also for all the support along the way, the dark winters & low points when “Teddies” went a flying.

To a cast of many most notably TD for the help along the way.

Martin the run in company was as you say awesome, thanks for taking the time, I really needed it after the previous day on my tod. I have had a bit of revision so I least I know what DDT buttons & menus to sort. Life is so complex now I can recall when but a simple timing light was all that was needed.
Really need to dial the thing in but have taken a break for a bit “Mrs & baby-fin” need some time too that way I’ll have lots of points in the bank for when next afloat & poker run day

Had a little play today rebleed of steering & trim, i think I cancelled out the breakin lock so hopefully I will rev a bit more now but wont know till I take it out next, still go to sort the TPI but thats a quicking & idle adjustment as I went the wrong way on it today also the WOT needs a readjustment as thats going over horiz and needs to be pulled back a bit. Couldnt hang about as i had to get back.Think I'll try for a halfday Fri to tinker & need to show Sataurdays passeger where to go anyway. If not a bloody early start Saturday All well could be the first full opening of the taps

Went out to see the RB8 today
Think my day fell into the 2nd start doldrums also, Midas was running well but still no closer to sorting the last 40% out of the motor, I'm sure it's as simple as a earth or connection just finding the offending item, will have a good read again & make some calls. Shame coz I'm no closer to finding "the" prop which is dissapointing. 4 blade sure gets the tail up but lacks trim effectiveness, 3 blade gives loads of bow lift & trim but is a bit more of a handfulland requires a little more attention. GPS was showing 77 Mph so its not draging it's feet but so much more I feel to come & that makes it a tad frustrasting

John,

Thinking low tech here.
I know you will have checked this but could it be a fuel restriction?,
Tank to hose line not large enough bore or slightly clogged filters?
Was the tank all cleaned out during the build?
Maybe even something which has been left in the tank which has been sucked up.(i've had the last one myself before, a bit of the rag tied to the rod i was cleaning the corners of the tank with had come off,)
Your problem to me just sounds if its something simple thats wrong.
good luck hope you get it sorted.

nope,
Might be able to do it if shipped to Rapier but cant be bothered
So 10hrs running gives 35 mins ecu so I guess I need to put forty hours on the motor to run it in.
Rapidly losing interest, might just buy another Used ECU

Nah not fuel I got two 1/2 pipes feeding to a pre filter then a 3/8 line (-6) to the motor

Electric brain , just dont quite all line up, need to find a much taller prop to get some engine load on the the thing. I have more than carried out the Break-in iAW the Book & all instructions it's just the brains not feking logged it

Time passes quicker the older ya get .................. was it last month or earlier

When I've finished dialed it in I'll give ya a run out if you want. Just really need to define the prop now. Think I have a handle on the 5900 break-in block but wont post till I can confirm a little theory that is a little abstract

Got the ECU out of break in

Ooohhhhhhh Errrrrrrr Pulled like a train to 70 & was a bit slow building there after, prop was a little too tall ( I think) but so much going on & the eyes a ratting in the sockets
water Pressure is fine even jacked up 5 inches on the lifter so might raise that a bolt holt.
Best run of the day was 90.54 on the GPS 6900 RPM - With more under the hood but thats gonna have to be for one very very very nice day.

See the large harbour masters launch today as well , that was f**king Exciting - still trying to pull the pants out of the crack - Didn't expect a wash from that size boat dwafs the red funnel car ferry. Recovery was all boat input - I was just hanging on. pants & all

Scott: My shoulders are rather pink and sore
