I don’t mind banter but Mr Fuller has taken that to an entire new height. Fun I don’t mind friendly piss taking I don’t mind, but nasty, snide, malicious comments I take offence to.

So lads have your fun, the boat may or may not be ready for the poker run and may or may not be entering the C-T-C. She will be what she will be and if anybody has a problem with that then hey, I don’t care. Rescue a classic historic boat yourselves lads in a recession, fork out the best side of £30K in cash or to put it even blunter put up or shut up!
So you're saying it was a bad day to post a contractual letter

Now name calling I know you can rise above and in fact you would even be proud to be known as a bar room racer in some circles

I personally don't think any individual here has it in for the project, there may well be differing opinions and sometimes the printed word is not the best.

I think Bluefin summed it up well recently when he effectively said sod the classes just get out there and complete the CTC and prove the naysayers wrong.

To my mind doing it with a piece of junk held together with string and a few nails would be an even greater achievement but then I've always liked a challenge. Even better still would be to gain sponsorship from Gaffertape inc to prove a point.

As ever if you need a hand getting back on track just shout.

For what its worth martin, I dont think any of the rules have been written to specifically deny the planatec a chance of glory in any given class.

As you well know, my mate Ace (stewart) has recently bought another old racer; which he hoped would snuggly fit into a class. As it is, he'll have to choose a power option thats less than ideal (to him) and go and race with the rest of them, or not at all. I think i'm trying to say the class structure hasnt been particularly kind to his plans either, but thats the way it is.

As for the pisstaking whinge, I have to say mate . . . . . i think you've brought that entirely upon yourself. Being a complete buffoon myself, I'm well aware its the risk you take when being outspoken; as you have for around 41 pages. . . . play with fire, get burnt!

fingers crossed you'll get a 2nd wind, have the boat finnished and enjoy the events this year.

Neither do I but the changes have excluded Mr. Noisey, D2S and any other Ex Class 2 Historic boat - and have been changed/revised 3 times

Guessed the bad week bit. If it makes you feel better I think we're a long way from having seen all the damage this pillock is going to do to our industry but that's for another thread.

So one of those bars that we haven't been ejected from? You are a star.

Anyway back to the pisstaking......Would you like me to bring the sunny or the revenger to tow you there and back?

You've worried me now Lawrence. Tetchy?

Is it some sort of code word used in your community. You know like one of those 'safe' words that means 'please untie me now I'm quite uncomfortable with continuing this act'.

'bout time we organised some sort of do up our way like Blackwater to Crouch with once round the gunfleet sands windfarm using the middle one as a race marker just to piss off the construction workers. What say you ?

It wasnt supposed to be a "break" word!

I just meant, I still look at the SM's and think they are very pretty. Me being the way I am (like things to be nice), I bought the Ring 26 as I thought it had a more useable cabin (well that and it had a new motor)....... and thus far all i've achieved is to pull it apart into a billion bits!

Both san marinos (yours and baz's) would have prolly been less work. But hey, I enjoy it so its all good fun.

I am in the process of redoing the plumbing on board as we speak. The target is to reduce the 320 litre cold water tank but add a similar size beside it which will serve additional faucets strategically positioned around the sunbed, bench seat, cabin, and of course helm seat.

I'm still contemplating whether to just change the heads and swim showers over to pure gin feed and do away with water altogether.

I intend carrying six of those little tonic water cans for those who really feel the need.

I am also unsure how to deal with ice and lemon dispensing but where there's a will eh? I was thinking of a way to toss the anchor overboard and turn the subsequent empty locker into an ice chest utilising the winch as some sort of automated feed arrangement.

All that just to say you like the acronym SM

Did you take it all apart just because you wanted to know how it all worked? I bet you were a right bugger as a kid

Call me thick Lawrence but wouldn't it have made more sense to keep it closer to home until you'd got it together?

Was attempting to fit the new fuel tanks today and the rear tanks do not fit because of what looks like a bearer/stifner coming off on of the sttringeres at 90 deg. there are 4 in total (2 each side of the boat) and they are located inbetween the bulkheads but they are not symetrical to each other. can i remove them to fit the tanks as I can locate them on the drawings and they appear to be an after market add on?????

This is the only Original picture i have

Rogue sub frames in E.R.

Seems odd they are not in symmetrical positions. The stbd one seems almost in line with a baffle for the aft tank. They wouldn`t have been put in that position so close to a part bhd for bottom panel stiffening, and they are under the tank as well,so I can only assume it was something to do with a tank seat. There is a fair bit of clearance under the tank anyway. If you cut away what you need in the sub frame to clear the tank,I would guess about half depth, the chances are you should be ok anyway.Your`e only creating an upturned bridge in sub frame profile, which would be OK strengthwise.
