Cheers Mike I haven’t seen it yet, the picture was taken on Marks cell phone, but apparently it looks even better "in the flesh"

The first time I met Jack Cunningham he was driving/ throttling your boat as Brut. As I mentioned to you he was a very good friend for many years, first helping with I like it too and he later became my boss when working for the Toleman group. A real character. Sadly no longer with us. He would appreciate the great job your doing on her.

'I like it too' / 'Aeromarine III' is now in Europe. A member here has it and has been restoring it as Aeromarine III.

36ft Ciggy Restored
Now I know I could be in line for a bollocking here for hijacking a thread, but that ciggy restoration was due to have been painted up as `I Like it too` on one side, and another colour scheme on the other for the RB08.Little Nige would have been in seventh heaven if it was as per the light blue `Eraf`.
Now there`s an idea for D2S.Rub one side down yet again and repaint as per `Macho`.Your`e halfway there as the bottom skin is the right colour. An extra sponsor to offset all those exhaust/tank/outdrive mods you`ve been worrying about Martin,or maybe not.

Some progress pics from today, the decals for the superstructure (#69) are on - the Union Jack etc is being applied later along with my company logo....
Second engine dry fitted today and final measurements taken for the aft exhausts, risers made and one intstalled on each engine to check the angle of the dangle...
All in all, Tony H and Mark have done marvels today, deciding on locations for various Pumps and hoses and putting their plan together - Thanks lads for working as a team for the good of the boat....

Team Work/Progress report
Working as a team is easy, well it is if everybody is on the same page and is honest on promised time lines,
For my part i have near as dammit been ready for due date works and sadly been left waiting, or advised that something else needs to be done before "x" can be fitted etc.
However look at what has been achieved over the past few weeks.
Bolster seats made and out to trim, front set back now and the rear due early this week.
Fuel tanks made from original drawings ( six ot them at 45 galls a piece) and subsequently modified by a local fabricator to get over alterations made to the hull/engine compartment during the boats varied history,a big thanks goes to B+D Marine -nice one guys. All tanks now fitted in place just the top restraint to be resolved.
Hull and upstand on the deck sanded down and repainted,a big thumbs up goes to spray master Mike Nickleson !!
The rest of the boat cleaned down and polished.Decals sourced and applied, many thanks to Louis at XL-Print and to Chris who applied them-now it is looking like the photo from the Cowes,Torquay,Cowes race in '85. A few more decals are left to be applied,Union Jack etc along with some sponsor logo's - yes D2S does have some sponsors.
Exhaust headers (after the gill manifolds) designed and under fabrication, as of Friday the pair for the inner most engine (next to cockpit) complete, the ones for the rear engine trial fitted and sent back for full welding, again a big thumbs up to B+D Marine for all the help and your quality fabrication.
Engines are dry fitted and awaiting modifications to the mounting plates (due to be done monday 13th) with final fixing during the same week - well that is what is promised!!
All the main engine and control wiring is thru to the engine compartment, trim tab pumps mounted.
Dashboard made and gauges fitted, just needs final wire up.
Its on the home straight now.
Many thanks to all of you that have given advice and support over the recent weeks, it has been much appreciated,a bit of all of you is in there somewhere.
Regards
Mark
