Quite!
I feel like one of those motorists that slow down and gaze at a horrific car crash.
Thanks for letting me be in the audience.

Probably, luckily I've good thick skin. You on the other hand, are so universally admired & respected by all.
BTW, why did you lie to Tony Hamilton about discussing your 'project' with me last Saturday, when you clearly didn't?
Now, what I don't get is why you're still here? Isn't it time you left the building?

Jimmy, I will be having the transom assembly looked at and cleaned then re-filled with fluids, looking at the viewing ports there is about 50% fluid in each so drain that, flush through and replace any pipes or unions that are showing signs of wear, re-grease anything and everything and Andy Judge will be fitting the new drives so im sure he will make sure all is OK before he bolts everything back together.

Martin, did you, or did you not claim to have had a conversation with me on Saturday, during which you say I passed judgement on aspects of your boat? and did you also claim to have had similar conversations with Tony Davis? I don't give a shit if it was TH or AJ, I just want to know if you did or didn't.
Is that too hard to answer truthfully?

There was a time when I considered it a bit of a free for all on Pash, he was sooo over confident it was gonna be a piece of piss to put the boat back together, despite what everyone was telling him. That earns substantial piss taking in my book.
But for me at least, that time has passed, I think Pash realises that actually, it IS a monstrously big job to put a 41' boat together and he's seems to have stopped strutting round like a superstar. So it'll just be nice to see another one of the old boats back on the water, and it isn't gonna run slower than "Absolutely Fabulous", after all. (Please, it can't!)
Oh, and the ribs @ the PR were v. tasty.

I want an apology on here stating very clearly that no such conversation took place between you and I (or Tony Davis) and in fact, I haven't discussed any details of your boat with you for many months.

Matt, this has nothing to do with previous piss taking, or my opinion of Martin and his boat.

It is a job that has been monumentally vast, and whilst everybody told me it would be sometimes you have to make mistakes yourself. Accordingly I have had the P*ss taken Royally - and Its has been received in good humour, I have also had some fantastic messages of support.
But now she is nearing the end of her re-fit I can say that the budget has been exceeded by just over £5,000 so a complete re-fit (albeit some parts obtained from Fleabay) for £35,000 not too bad in my book.
When you look at the work Tony H and Andy J have done I’m very pleased, the fuel tanks (thanks Cosworth Mirrage) are better than I expected and Half the price I was quoted, the exhausts are great and less then half I was quoted (Thanks to BD Marine) the bolster seats have had questions raised about the amount of padding but were less than 1/3 of what I was quoted.
So yes lessons learnt and advices not taken (Mostly through financial considerations) but she is getting there.
Massive debt of gratitude owed to:
Budweiser - nearly two months working on the boat full time
Splitpin (Comes down from Dartford Kent) cheers Mate
Delta21 (Comes Down from Cobham Surrey) cheers Mate
Mr F for advice when I first bought the boat
Tony Davis for sticking his head into the engine bay on cold winter days and saying "Having Fun"
BlindDog and Bigbird for continuously taking the P*ss and having a dig in the best possible taste
Foolish for giving advice on the engines and drives
Flying Fish without those drawings I would have been hacking things out that should not have been
Jimmy Brooker for all the messages on things to do and things to look out for.
BluFin for keeping me going with phone calls every other night and joining the Team - without BluFin on board this project would not have even started.
And the Countless offers of Help, messages of support from members here
Guys without you ALL this project would not have got to this stage
The Important thing is that a historic boat will be back on the water - Not the person who paid for the work to be done.
