Back to the race for a moment, I've been looking at the numbers and things aren't half as bad for the 'swipers as I thought they would be.

Only 33:08 off the lead in RB4 and 01:57:02 off the overall lead. With four race days and 700ish miles left, that's not a big gap.

So, have you fixed it yet?

I believe it's a sick rather than dead motor, so they managed to complete the leg with both motors, just at reduced speed.

Unsure what's up with it, but apparently both have oil leaks.

Don't know if anyone noticed the gps comment - someone intentionally cut the gps lead!!!!!

Does anyone know how reliable the 'Dmax' engines running in the Goldfishes are running? It's the uprated 315 hp Yanmar that they've tweaked to 380 hp...I was led to believe that they were the diesel engines on that Top Gear 'race' where Hammond / May blew up twice in Norway???

GPS attached to dash with lead plugging in from behind. During the night the lead was cut up behind the dash and the antenna disappeared. Only know it wasn't Nick or Jon!!

Angela, I'm frankly dumb founded! Not only is this spiteful, and unfair, but it's downright dangerous!
Please let me know if my spare portable GPS will help them, and I'll courier it up to them 1st thing tomorrow.
There is actually nothing really more to say! Whoever did this was will no doubt get their just deserves at some stage during their life.

That's very kind, but they were able to 'bodge it' with bits from the gps in the car and their support team were organising a replacement last I heard. Jon also has a hand-held for if all else fails. You know the old saying 'What goes around, comes around' - whoever was responsible will get their just rewards at some point.

And while this GPS espionage occurred, the boats were stored in a secure military compound, so I can't imagine it was the local kids out for a bit of devilment.
