Nailed the drives up to get positions for engines.

Structural influences from Steve Baker.

I thought this instructive boat building video may be of help with ideas on layup and rigging, although it does have a wheelhouse instead of a canopy but same thing

As it says in the video it's simple ... all you do is put it together

Nice to hear you still have a use for it after you finished trimming the hog.

Any more pics, or is progress slow while the cat's away?

Got nobody here to tell me what to do next, so just sat waiting for the boss to get back.

Thanks for the interest in the "How much does the boat weigh" Competition - I guess you lot really are bored - I won't list all of the guesses here, but heaviest was Still No Worries at 1499 kg, and he's seen it in the flesh - I guess it looks a lot heavier than it is! Mike Ring was way over at 1250 kg, Peter Unwin was still pessimistic at 1070 with JF not much better at 1000kg - the Optimists were fewer in number with Larby at a very light 620kg and Downhilldai at 649kg.

The nearest to the weight was CandyPants at 845kg (spot on!) - although it seems they may have had some inside information which leaves Lewy as the nearest at 844kg, just 1kg off the weight, OCRDA knew anyway (and was still 5kg out) and Jizm was also very close at 860kg. Surfury was the third closest at 872kg.

OCRDA will no doubt turn up at the launch do anyway, so Lewy, Jizm and Surfury will be getting their invitations when we announce a launch party date - hopefully in the not too distant future! As with all boat builders we have other business and I can tell you another Phantom 19 left our workshops to go to it's new home a week last Saturday and another will go in the mould very soon. We have added some cockpit reinforcement and sorted out floor levels but we are frustratingly waiting for pasts from the US for the drives that are stuck in Paris due to the snow, and without these we cant fit the engines which means we don't know where we can put the engine bay bulkhead etc!

More photos and progress soon - weather permitting!

Can't believe I came third !!

Not bad for a pure guess if I say so myself. Looking forward to launch whenever it is. Hope I'll be able to get down there to take you up on this Cookee.

Happy Christmas one and all
