Still in the mold, out tomorrow hopefully. Will post some photos then. The ping pong join line is spot on, and at least the lid stayed on this time.

motorvator, no flood. We float the boat out by wedging a gap between the hull and the mold shove in a hose pipe and allow the water to release it, all nice and gentle.

A big day today, we released the deck last night and floated the hull free in the mould after turning it back to the upright position. The next step is to make lifting points, move it outside and lift the hull out of the mould - put the two halves of the mould together and get the boat back in the workshop for fitting out. You can clearly see the plants for the windscreen recesses still in the mould, they will be taken out later - more photos to follow!

To say I am incredibly pleased with the result would be a massive understatement - the boat looks absolutely bloody marvellous and looks like it's doing 100mph just sat there!

I am incredibly proud of what Kitten and Willy have managed in what was still a very good time frame - we started last Christmas with a pile of laser cut MDF and now we have a completed hull - just need to put all of those bits I have in it now!

In view of the RB11 cancellation has anyone got any ideas for some record runs? Apart from the Brass Monkey when is the first Marathon race of the season?

Wow!! Love the bow! I remember when I was a young kid and my dad would be taking ugly bits of fishing boats out of moulds and I'd be excited, can't even imagine the feeling you got when that popped out!!
