Loved the first 3 and half minutes or so then it stops - my connection? I have a broken icon to represent the vid clip when I go to the page. Any ideas? Really want to see it - got goose bumps with that (dare I say it!) great music track when the boats approach Hurst with the yacht coming the other way. Great footage so far!!

I would delete temporary internet files and start again. for whatever reason the first case must be corrupted. downloads fine for me.

Maybe even delete the temporary files, then right click on the link and choose 'save target as', and save it to your pc.

I have never released the URL in high quality streaming Divx.

I thought the film was still on sale?

So did we ever find out if the other team let Buzzi win?

Neither have I, it's a .wmv.

Mike asked me to host it, take it up with him.

Just watched very enjoyable thank you, certainly seemed like a Ferrari team order jobbie to me as Silicon Fire had a good lead at the half way stage, then on the return after lyme bay Buzzi FPT was a nose ahead and so it stayed till the finish, looked like Silcon was just following behind as ordered, however perhaps not such a bad move as what would be the point of racing flat out with a far higher chance of mechanical failure for either team
What scuppered ML's favourite boat the Apache from finishing

I just remember what FB said to me on the telephone some months later, "I paid for Silicon Fire to be there and not beat me, as I went into the Solent I said back off, I want to win this race!"

The Apache had 7 fuel tanks so i understand one of the crew turned the fuel of instead of changing tank. Starved the engine of fuel at full bore and snapped the crank. But i'm sure someone on here will correct me

Think it's Brill. calls it the way he sees it & you better be bloody right coz he will have them ducks in a row. I like that

Anyway a few more old bits have surfaced & I have posted the race report in the race reports thread which seems to come to life about once a year. Link

This one I think should be on this thread

I love Walker, he writes the finest stuff - but the bacon sandwich and coffee at Lowestoft last year was the best.

I'm glad you are all enjoying the film, we aim to please, don't know if we can afford to put a chopper up again this year though.

I have just given JF a DVD of the 1972 CTC race to put up on here. Found it on a 16mm film in Tim Powells actic 2 years ago and just had it converted. Beautifully filmed from both plane, helicopter, from the land and even action film from on the race boats although how they did that with those old cameras I don't know. It will be quite a treat for all to see and even today, almost 40 years later, we would be hard pushed to do better.
