"""""O'Toole and the Muppets""""""
QUOTE=ciao!;139821]P.S. Where was Jim O 'Toole at the weekend ?
Or were his Muppets hoping we would fail in this venture?[/QUOTE]
Ciao , Ciao!
Greetings from the European Championships in Nettuno, where brave brit Richard Carr is hoping to beat the the italians in their back yard
A quick summary of my weekend, thanks for asking
Lie in Saturday morning, on line newspapers and a pot of coffee.
Bike ride with daughter number 2, nothing like some Daddy time...
Shopping with son and daugther 2 for eldest's 10th Birthday present.....educational nintendo game,,,Brain Training..should help with the eleven plus prep
Light lunch
check out ctc results......what a shock finish ...who on earth could ever have predicted the closeness of such a thrilling finish and how fitting that Buzzi wins, how disappointing for Invernizzi , he must be heart broken,,,so near but so far....Good to see Vee, Shelly. Jan/Drew etc all have a good and safe day
Very pleased for the BPRC etc that teh event wentg off well, nice to see 22 boats do the race
shame about Carr's adventure, glad to hear he'll be fine for Spain and Portugal
Take daughter number 2 to Wycombe Wanderers v Lincoln City..Ex England Caretaker Peter Talyor is building a useful side which should surely challenge for automatic promotion from League Two
Home, caught up with some paperwork
Outshanding Indian....acari chicken......highly recommended, garlic, chilli and peppers
watched the X factor over a couple of cold perronis ....what a bunch of nobs....how the hell did they ever expect to get picked
watched match of the day, shock Arsenal defeat...crisis for Wenger, or just a slow start??
sunday
son's cricket rained off...booooo!
cleared out garage. rains clears. cricket in park with son
Watched Man City stuff west ham, 3-0......is this our season?....Corluka, Ireland and Elano combime beautifullt for 2 goals...off field problems forgotten for 90 happy minutes
Out for a chinese meal to celebrate eldest daugher's 10th birthday, soft shell crab...unbeatable))))
watched Shrek again...quite possibly the best move
ever made, except possibly for Von Ryan's Express......desperate scene at the end where the baddies shoot him in the back
As for the rest of the Muppets.........not sure....suspect more of the same
as Miss Piggy would say......you really are a silly small minded little man
do do der dooh dooh)))
JOT

Really annoyed that I am too old to have missed the skinny dipping that went on up by the RYS at 2/3am on Sunday morning

You're all wrong, it's "From Russia With Love". The fight scene on the train was one of the best ever until the "Bourne Identity series" came along.
Sorry they got your name wrong on the shirts, didn't notice it until too late!

The Bourne series is my fave too, by a long chalk. far more credible and plausable than ANY bond movie.
However, in the Bond series, it HAS to be Live & Let Die!....C'mon mike!

Far too implausable!
The whole Bourne thing could, and probably does happen every day of the week around the world.
The standard Bond 'superterrorist' plot is bollox really. The drug production plot of Live & Let Die was about a real as any bond Bond has ever been, plus it had boats, all beit American crap.

The classic bond boat chase is of course 'From Russia with Love', Fairy Huntsmen and Huntresses & the West Coast of Scotland doubling for the med.

Yea, has to be the best for the fight scene, the girl - looooong legs - and the boat chase!! Bourne definitely has a problem, he isn't too interested in girls whereas Bond is
