You have to get your priorities right, Watch the wedding dvd later.
I missed a Carls ( our throttle man ) wedding 20 years ago because it was the same day as CTC

Find us £7,500 (plus vat) and we will do it better this time, mind you we also need a chopper in Torquay to film the boats turning there so that will be another £2,500!

Ouch ... at least you won the 1 engine boat race is the boat all good to go for this years endurance series?
I think my appetite may have vanished if that had been me, thinking about that large repair bill and the blank space on the mantelpiece where my winning cup would have gone ... but that's boating and racing

Yeah the boat is being prepared for this seasons events,it runs alot better with two engines thats for sure. The chicken & mushroom pie was great and we managed to have lunch prior to breaking the boat! Hmmmm ?
Throttleman error / Tight Crank belt / Fuel starvation / dodgy crankshaft.
I ask myself on regular occasions the cause. Hey thats this sport and shit happens. I am still paying for taking part in such a wonderfull event at a world class location. Would do it again tommorow. Duna

No other boat in the world looks better than a 41ft Apache running at full chat, IMHO:

Your living in a time warp then, IMHO or your trying to blagg a ride in it.

Hey Mike i tend to agree with you on that one. But running something with a little more power for example triple Teague 1200s and bit more length does help to make "Lunch more enjoyable" and a smoother ride !!!!!!! Dunaruna

So now there are 2.
CTC festival should be brill. Lets encourge the guys with Muscle, classics and unusal boats to display them even if there not running as well as they would like.

You’re just a cynic. However I do admit to being in a time warp as far as Apache’s are concerned and there’s nothing wrong with that. At my age I am allowed to be. Watching Glenn suddenly put the hammer down during the CTC when we were following in the chopper was a sight I will never forget.
If you used your brains for once you would know that I can’t organise races and take part at the same time. But again, what’s wrong with trying to blagg a run down the Solent in Glenn’s Apache at 85mph, even you wouldn’t say no to that. Tony Hamilton won’t stop talking about his run at Cowes with Glenn, which is really annoying!
So Tony, come on, tell us what’s your favourite boat and let's see a pic?

This year the three day Cowes Powerboat Festival should indeed be "brill", well that's the plan. Not only will we have all the Cowes Torquay Cowes runners and riders and those sports boats that want to do the 70 mile course to Poole, round the bay twice and back (see attached) but we also have the Honda fleet coming (up to 40 boats) doing their Championship races and the ORDA fleet (up to 20 boats) with their finals plus a beer tent and food stalls. Should be quite a challenge to all those concerned and a bit of a squeeze but great fun which is what this is all about.
Plus, hopefully, we will have the Red Jet as start boat running the whole fleet to Hurst as last year, now that will be a sight, can't wait!

Bring it on... Thats excellent news i had better book some space for the RV in the pits.
Sounds as though there could be around 100 boats racing.

Having read the report its interesting to here the harbourmasters views,he would like the boats to stop. I understand the problems with trying to refuel so many boats in a short time so i agree there shouldn't be any refueling however how about having a 30 minute stop so that the people of Torquay feel more involved and can soak up the atmosphere of the race.
