In a previous post the London To Brighton race was included in the above list. Is this now not an eligible qualifying race ?

I have pointed this out to the RYA before Mike that the London-Calais-London and the London-Brighton race should both be included in this listing as both were of Marathon length but for some reason they have been missed off.
I will get clarification of this at the ORC meeting on Wednesday as well as a few other important items that relate to Marathon!

Marathon Races
If your looking at Marathon listings, the Venice - Monte Carlo races of 90-93 had Richard Carr (11th in 1990) and Dag Pike participating. Then there are the Endurance series in the med during the 90`s which had Roger Fletcher competing.Where do you want to stop.

Wight Vodka Enters Into A New Partnership With The Bprc
When Wight Vodka was launched in 2007, the brand’s target market was clearly focused on those who love being on the water at any speed. Wight Vodka has grown from strength-to-strength, from their continued partnership with the UK’s most successful superyacht creators Sunseeker, to the latest relationship with the team at the British Powerboat Festival.
50 North has partnered with the BPRC to provide the winners of the Cowes 100 with specially inscribed bottles of Wight Vodka and custom designed Wight Vodka festival caps that will commemorate the ‘First in Class’ winning teams. There will be Wight Vodka cocktail receptions over the course of the Festival, where we will revel in successes of the races and keep in mind the collective tagline of Wight Vodka to Throttle & Trim Responsibly.

Thats cool. I like commemorative stuff. Can you ask if there'll be a cap for each crew member? (not assuming victory or anything, just asking!

Yep, a cap for each crew member, (thank God Gee isn't competing!) and they will be presenting a Wight Vodka trophy for the winner of the Cowes 100.

Ctc Targets
Some info for you Mr.Ciao in readiness for when Mr.Dineage thrusts the microphone in your face.
Numbers that started,
1961 - 27
1962 - 41
1963 - 50
1964 - 45
1965 - 50
1966 - 40
1967 - 58
1968 - 54
1969 - 53
1970 - 58
1971 - 41
1972 - 46
1973 - 45
1974 - 31
1975 - 31
1976 - 31
1977 - 19
1978 - 26
1979 - 19
1980 - 18
1981 - 12
1982/83/84 - round the cans
1985 -26
1986 - 24
1987 - 34
1988 - 38
1989 - 35
1990 - 27
1991 - 21
1992 - Cancelled
Following years when run never matched the heyday in numbers
In 1989 19 OPI boats started (the days of the Italian fleets)
I can see 2010 may reach 12-15 OP I equivalents,but at present can`t see it beating 19.
Between 1967 and 1973 there were about a dozen OP I boats that made up the fleet.

If that is Drews old RIB, which I suspect it is, then you will be running in Class C Sport!
