I'm not sure if there are any age limits in the P1 (Grand Prix of the Sea) series, but they do have a physical which is quite a bit harder than the standard one because of one of the older crew members having a heart attack and causing an accident - I think that is the sensible way of going about things - if someone is fit enough and still got enough marbles to drive a boat in a race why not let them?

Of course this seems to be political and personal above anything else, so I guess all of the above is irrelevant!

Television

Due to additional support we can now advise that both the Cowes 100 & CTC will be filmed for a television package to be shown on SKY Sports and European networks.

The filming helicopter will be provided by Castle Air and flown by Keith Thompson.

Getting TV coverage has to be excellent news regardless of who's doing the flying/filming. Do you have an idea of what parts of the course they intend to cover John and how long they'll manage to be up?

1 hour flying time for Cowes 100 - 3 hours for CTC. I'll ping up the flight plan in due course.

And we thought we were going to be on our own . Thats good news, wondering if the V24s will now be making a show? Be good if they did.
