Perhaps we're rather busy at the moment?

The entered teams have been receiving regular email updates recently, such as details about the venues following substantial site visits over the past 6 weeks.

Draft race instructions will be issued in the next 36 hours

Website is ready to roll ....we're just pouring in the final bits of information.

London launch was predicated on sourcing a London commercial partner, which is only just being landed. If we can do something over the next few weeks we will.

Every day we deal with rumours that come in and need addressing. In ALL cases these rumours are started by someone not involved/competing in the race.

I have no doubt Aidan has a huge ticklist he is going through at the moment and very likely there is one on the bottom.

Blah blah harbourmaster- Tick
Blah blah venue - Tick
Blah blah venue - Tick
Blah blah sponsorship - Tick
Blah blah race approval- Tick
Blah blah cranes -
Blah blah hotels -
Blah blah promoter -
Blah blah press -
Blah blah teams -
Keep Mrs Smillie happy -

I'm sure he'll get round to it

Advance Race Instructions have just been emailed to entered teams. If this is you and you haven't received the mail, please ask your fellow team members. If it's still not there, please get in touch with us and we'll send it out immediately!

Claire

1. I've no idea, we didn't issue and 'Draft' instructions

2. My post was intended purely for the teams in the race as the matter was of direct relevance to them alone.

As the race is only a couple of months away I cannot see any point now posting negative comments.
Very little chance of any new entries now and any new sponsors coming on board.
The teams that are entered need all issues delt with by the organisers and would it not be better to let the organisers get on with what needs to be done.

The entry list is not as large as one would of liked however there as some great boats entered and this race is going to be very very special for all involved.

If individuals are lacking information surely a direct email to the organisers would be better.

Good luck to you all.

You don't seem to see the irony in that reply!

Maybe consider why Aidan has taken the approach of communicating solely with the team principals (entered)?

Apropos of nothing at all .... I spotted the following on FB last night

It's better to create something that others criticise than to create nothing and criticise others.

Errrrr nope, I think you will find that your the only sad case here.

If you have a problem with the organisation, talk to the organisers directly. Posting snide comments, which seems to be your forte, just makes you look sad and stupid.

Perhaps you and Ciao are one and the same person?? Who knows, who cares.

If you or your husband has genuine concerns and fears about the race then surely the best thing to do is to withdraw his entry?

All these bitchy comments aren't helping anyone, and there's only one person looking like a sad individual from where I'm reading...

Good to see some more information about the teams.
Looks like the PPG Marine renders has ended up on the goldfish page though

We're slowly migrating over to the new version of the site this week. We've a ton of fresh elements and content to pour in, so bear with us while we move home. Once completed we'll then start to promote heavily
