Do you know the posts above say a lot more about the individuals writing them than Aidan and his team.
If you were really interested you could just put a post up saying 'how's it all coming along Aidan'
Here look I'll do it for you....
How's it all coming along Aidan?

It's all coming together very well Motorvator ...thanks for asking!
This time of year can sometimes be a pain trying to get to decision-makers, but we've been gaining more ground than we expected by now. Three days of meetings are in place from tomorrow on, and then another three days in the UK next week. Hopefully we'll be able to confirm more details by the end of next week.

Well perhaps if everyone was allowed to see stuff that is going on behind the scenes the sport would not be in the hole it is!!

Blimp has already said that if anyone involved in the sport wants to see the debrief then they can. If he, as race organiser, doesn't want it in the public domain for whatever reason, then that is his choice.
I swear some people don't actually give a toss about boats or racing, they just like stirring. Grudges and arguments and backbiting on forums isn't putting race boats on the start line, people that invest countless hours of their time to organise races do. Cut them some slack or go take up crochet

It's all because Eric is no longer in 558
Everyone within the sport knows and ignores her rants
Organisers should only take note or worry about the sensible comments good or bad.
While power boat racing is on the decline just look at the Festival of Speed over the last 20 years. Now they know how to do it.

Everyone has the right to free speech, but some abuse the privilege. Over a certain point they should be taxed.

VERY well-said. And accurate.
The committee is far too concerned with Process over Product (IMO), and the purposeful secrecy, obfuscatory communications, inertia, clumsiness and overall opacity strains the bounds of trust - esp of 'the product.'
Like the laird said to the innocent milkmaid: "Trust me; I won't cum in your mouth."
While she may or may not have been innocent, the results were predictable.
Some of us have seen this movie before and want some Black-Letter answers before we open wide.
Aidan (et.al, I presume) forced me to scrap a serious, well-funded Class A entry because of their stark refusal to discuss safety, security and legal issues in a timely fashion.
I think the lack of entries (and lack of interest of fully qualified racers) for a race of this magnitude, 10mos off, is telling.
'tis sad, really.

Bob - your own situation had some very specific requests which we were either (a) unable to do, or (b) not prepared to do. Let me qualify that a little further. You're aware that we're meeting with the PLA next Tuesday in London and the matter of resolving raceboats which have difficulties at slow speeds is on top of the agenda ...your primary concern. You wanted commitments from us which we felt would have been poorly received by other entrants ...at least until such time as we'd been able to attempt a more holistic solution with the PLA. We're working hard for all teams to provide them with solutions that work for the majority, and we're very happy with both the level of entrants and interest.
It's regrettable that this meeting will take place 2 weeks after your build-slot closed.
It's regrettable that we'll be without the colour I've no doubt you could bring to the event.

I'll take that as a complimant as some have called me an old woman in the past
and I hadn't realised you have been bitter and twisted for so many years.
for your information it was my fingers that done the talking this time.

Just a random thought but what if we were to fix an orange flashing beacon on each boat.
Aidan, If anyone can get it past then Paul is your best bet.

Just a point but a notice to mariners May help your case for the event but I understand it is £500. A river closure will cost a lot for a the time but it may be something to ask? Are you dealing wit. Tony Lawrence? He's the harbour master for that area I think.
Commercially we can run 30 knots with ais b type, I am guessing the boats not have this?
Boats go fast up past Putney for the Oxford Cambridge race but again a river closure is in place

Barrie, Perhaps we could ask Mrs S to enlighten us as to the reasons for the negativity if it is not Eric / 558. To my knowledge Eric's ride hasn't got any problems with Aidan.
