Thanks for the heads-up on that - we're meeting with the various groups that run French powerboat racing at the Paris show in a few weeks time and we'll add that to the agenda.

In the meantime, teams have just been sent a new group email which focuses on the production of television content.

We're genuinely delighted to welcome Ray Bulman on board as a regular blog-writer. As everyone on here already knows, Ray has been the foremost writer on powerboat racing for decades and we're thrilled to be able to tap into his knowledge. Ray's first post is now published - have a look:

Teams - another group email has just been sent out. This one's all about our Official Start Boats, the London Boat Show and an exciting promotion we're doing just before Christmas

Delighted to welcome Predator Boats onboard as a Premium Partner. Predator will be supplying the official start & finish boats for the London to Monte-Carlo race next June. They'll also have a raceboat competing - a completely new A Class 'Predator 447'.

I see that the Venture Cup team will be having a stand at the London Boat Show in January. Brings back embarrassing memories of an interview I did on our stand at the show in January 2012. I don’t interview well as you will see. Spinning the story furiously! Thanks to all who helped me out during that show by the way – you know who you are.

We've now received full confirmation that we'll have a significant presence at the London Boat Show in January.

We hope to host a special reception there on one of the days and would love to see as many people from the powerboat racing community as possible. We'll advise on the date over the next week or so.

We'd also be extremely grateful of any offers to help man the stand.

We can now confirm that we will be hosting a reception on our stand on the second Saturday of the show - Jan 11th - starting at 1130.

Attached is a PDF showing where the stand is located, and we'll have some more details over the coming days.

We'll have three boats displayed on the stand:
- Our new official startboat: 'Venture 1', a Predator 337
- HTS Perkins
- Bubbles (Richard Carlton's Cigarette Bubbledeck)

If you're planning on coming to the show anyway, we'd love if you could join us at the stand on the 11th.

So much for navigation skills! We got the East and West entrances mixed up in the previous version. Correct version now attached (thanks to eagle-eyed Mike Bellamy for spotting the error)

So what have we got here?

Some Chris Davies shots at the London Boat Show and a competition to win some clobber.

After the show, I was slightly expecting to hear about sponsors / partners, venue interest and competitors dialling in their boats for the Event.

John, with the greatest of respect..

1. We made it very clear that we weren't making grand announcements at the show

2. We release information about the race to our teams through our group email ...which you yourself also receive (and opened today's version earlier this afternoon). Over the past month we've given lots of details on venues and partners

3. As of this date you're not a competitor, so I'm a little unsure as to why this pains you so much

Finally, I'll remind you that - in the past - you've never been slow to criticise how we do things, only to then do exactly the same thing yourself (eg: Facebook).

For 2014 - I am just a fan of the sport.
Was hoping that if I book my Ryan Air flights to Malaga to see the fleet come into Puerto Banús - Everything is cool?

She does. The Ford reference is Mike Bellamy's t-shirt from the original race

Teams - a new group email has just gone out. One of the items on there is our new promotional video which is also linked to below. Please don't share it on social media sites yet as we'll be doing this when our new website goes live in a week or so.
