Teams - we've just sent out a group email containing confirmation of our venue in A Coruna (note, this is a change from 'Sada a Coruna'). The chosen venue is Marina Coruna, and more details can be found here (including a live webcam)
http://www.northwestmarinas.com/en/m...ina-coruna.htm
Accommodation deals in Jersey are also contained in the group mail

Aidan,
Can you confirm the date that the boats will be racing into Malaga?
Is there a lay day?
I need to book my flight (Ryanair right now is £90 return).
As pleasant as it is to see my old mates Simon Pridham and Little Nige "down south", would be good to see them with a few marathon boats coming into the marina.

Hi John - there are lay-days at every port, which means we're at each venue for 3 days in total.
For Malaga the relevant dates are:
Arrival: Sunday 15th June
Lay-Day: Monday 16th June
Departure: Tuesday 17th June
We should have some 'preferred hotels' from Malaga Tourism in the next few days, that'll be running special offers for those associated with the race.

Thank You Aidan.
Flights booked - No need for 'preferred hotels', staying with the Pridham's.
Little Nige - Simon paid for supper last time - Where are you taking us?

Today we can announce that this year's race will feature a turbine catamaran. We've been in communications for some time with a recognised international team who have proven experience in competing with these beasts, and they've satisfied us that they can run safely across the 2,750 mile course. More details to follow

Nice April Fool's post Blimp. Gas Turbines are not allowed in the Marathon Rules and the LMC is run under current RYA/UIM rules!!
