Thanks John, how come the organisers need you to publish the results.....
Congratulations to all the competitors and organisers, splendid effort.
A few drinks and a well earned rest is in order

well done for making the race happen (to all involved),it was good to see how many people have been following it every day on here too.i found it very good being able to keep intouch via the yellow brick aswell.another obsevation at poole today is the public love to see a race boat ,in the pits is still great pr for any sponsor.i think anyone that completed it in the conditions deserves a well done

Pics from Poole
Here ya go.. a few we took this afty of the boats at the Quay and of the prize giving.. the sun even came out!
What a beautiful machine!
Grey Ghost with partial deflation, wrecked windscreen and mast.. happily our dash survived!
Gordon & Hazel looked like they'd just been for a little cruise round the harbour.. amazing!
Prize giving before the re-arrangement and time penalties
The champayne competition in the bushes
and one for later by the looks of things!

Poole pics part two
The point when the flag had to be handed over after the final results were announced
Mayor & Mayoress of Poole in Cinzano.. and Markus treated everyone to a bit of engine to end the day
The winner presentation part 2
All looked very good natured and everyone was talking about improvements and fitness etc for next years race.. for me I absolutely cant wait.. to me it looks like the prologue served its purpose.. showed the flaws and showed how amazing the boats and crews can be on long hauls

Just seen these and they make interesting reading as the fastest lap sped of the whole race was in Leg 3, Stage 1, Lap 2, Jersey: Cinzano 86.21 MPH, Warpath 84.74. So the old girl is still pretty quick !
Even if Warpath had not been Dq'd on leg 1, and taken the time penalty on the last leg we would have still won by about an hour overall, as they would have had a total time of 13.53 and we had 12.53.
Will try to write an account of the race in the next few days.
Just to add, Daryl Grady, on Warpath, said to me after "Its a bit like Chess this Marathon racing, you have to have all your pieces in the right places to win and we really didn't know that" Too true ...

Anyone have any info on Biretta Due? Any particular reason for the comparatively low speed? I would have expected this boat to be much, much faster...
