I took the Mothercare size, sat on the 747 home & dreamed of bigger entries next year!

Bobby, Charlie and Ole in a 44ft Chief with 2,000hp, now there's a team to worry the competition!

Having said that, we just might have a girl team or two and you know how tough they can be. They beat a few of the guys in the RB08!!

Surprised no one is looking to run this in Marathon / CMC

http://www.powerboatlistings.com/view/10602

Would have thought it would be ideal! Is it because it wouldn't fit any of the classes? The boat certainly seems to have the right pedigree and has a very interesting history.

Thanks for that, looks to be a great long distance boat. I do have three people looking right now so will pass on.

The one in the picture, the Apache 41 that raced at Cowes in 2008 but it is being run by one of the C M-C competitors.

We have found that some of the original venues will not be able to cope with 40+ race boats coming in to re-fuel and berth etc so we have had to find larger Marina Venues, see new course map. These are STILL not cast in stone and could change. Note that at least two legs are now “adventure” legs over 300 miles.

A good week.

This week has been a very good week. We have been paid by a NEW three boat British Race Team but can't quote them until they have issued their Press Release which will be next week.

The same applies for another British Two Boat Race Team, except we are waiting for their funds and their Press Release. In both instances there are going to be some surprises.

To round off the week we have had a new British single boat competitor join the fleet and he is still seeking the right boat.

Lastly we have booked our flights for Brest and La Rochelle to check out these two venues. More news on this at the end of the month.

We have been approached by several race teams regarding the possibility of taking sponsors on board on certain legs. We have talked to the RYA about
this and we will be meeting with them in May to discuss in detail how this can be achieved. Because race teams will be far out at sea for several hours each day there will have to be certain criteria for ALL passengers such as:

a. Boating experience qualifications for all passengers ,
b. Minimum First Aid qualifications for all passengers,
c. Sea Survival course mandatory for all passengers
d. VHF qualifications for all passengers.

The above will be confirmed within Race Instructions . It must be understood that on a race of this magnitude that should any problem occur with either the Driver or Navigator then the remaining crew must be able to take over roles such as radio and or emergency procedures until such times as help can be mustered. It is vital for those passengers safety and the race organiser’s peace of mind that everyone is prepared for all eventualities.
