Nah, it never made it past the table-napkin stage, but there was nothing visually striking about it, and it was more basic that an average boat and not one bit visually appealing.
It was a light, "Levi" style boat, run straight, run flat, fly flat, come home 1st.
- narrow, long 46' epoxy Skater Cigarette, 24Ί, 2 shallow steps, stretched to 15m.
- full bow, with buzzi anti-stuff planes, standup sides and full transom, with the whole keel being a single fuel tank
- BananaShark Ύ cockpit over Shockwave ICE 1 seating/consoles
- pair of IFM 1308, 14.3L mechanical engines, laid nose-to-nose
- Pat Weismann OD marine gear & crashboxes
- Flexitab 1100S bustle & shafts; long single rudder and all running gear cut out of maranging steel, m300 & 460
- analog pyrometers and boost gauges and dual path, fault-tolerant hydraulics
- a couple of 'off-grid' internal battery chart plotters
- cigar lighter
It was to be a single purpose boat, with no feature especially striking, but it took a lot of thought and design to make it so damn basic.
BTW, Petter, I sure like your 17m rib. Have you any customers for it, yet?
